The only way I see the idea working, even a little, is if they go an OO route. And Spy Force is trying to beat Nega-Disk to a greater power and find it first. Becoming Kyoryuger.

Why are they even doing the gigantic breaks, anyway? Series X is 20 episodes, and it's Super sequel is another 20 episodes. A year is only 52 weeks, why does 40 episodes need 4 multi-month long breaks?

Because Nickelodeon has a rule that a show can only have a certain number of episodes per season.
