Depends what ones you get, but the insistence on using the clicky revolver joints can usually hamper the overall quality. I've been pretty careful about the revos I buy and the only one I have that I can say is outright awful is Gunbuster. And that's out of about 26.
If I remember right the Aliens were considered to be among the best though.

There's a rich market for Alien and Predator merch. It only made sense to acquire the license. No one makes high end Alien or Pred products*. NECA doesn't really count considering the limitations of what their standard figures can do with a limited amount of articulation. This is a pretty logical step if you ask me. It's not something I'd buy but I can see the appeal.

Joints fall apart. They have this obsession with making everything angular.
NECA seems to use the same cheap plastic that DCC uses so enture their figures break so you have to buy them again. I also hate how NECA focuses on like 2-3 specific characters and then never does anything else. For example, they get the license to Legacy of Kain. They make Kain and Raziel. That is it. Nevermind all of the other amount of characters out there. Same goes with God of War, they stuck with Kratos and only Kratos instead of also doing the gods themselves, any of the mythological beasts, etc. With Resident Evil, they did Jill, Chris, and Leon while forgetting about Claire, Rebecca, Sherry, Wesker, Barry, Billy, Carlos, Nemesis, and many others. Instead, the just rerelease zombies and Lickers. I don't even know how many Ezio's they have done for AC. Not to mention they got the license to do Castlevania and then stopped after releasing one wave of 5 figures. Anyway, I think Bandai should have done the classic Xenomorph and Predator to kick off the line. |

I really feel a GOOD company could work with the series if they tried. Sadly, Toy Biz did a better job with the license in the short time they did it. And don't get me started on NECA's Street Fighter line... People may complain about SOTA's version, but at least they got thru a TON of characters and still stand as the one Street Fighter line that almost completed the entire Super STreet Fighter II roster. Yes, I do want the Darins packed in with the Gokai-boys and a Lord Zedd Figuarts!
Thanks for the interview Tom!
