I've never been fully understanding of breeding mechanics (there's a pickup line waiting to happen :P) but I think some things have changed in the new generation. I know that some moves don't get passed down from parents anymore but I have no idea about abilities.

God, I haven't played a Pokemon game since yellow on the GBA color. God im loving this X and Y stuff.
Am I the only one who yells "rider kick!" when blaziken dose his flame kick thing? Also the sentai rider watch thing to active the mega evolutions was an awesome nodd.

That's for passing down natures. And it doesn't matter which parent holds it now. Either parent will pass it down. If both parents have an everstone, the offspring has a 50/50 of either of the two natures from the parents.

And I checked, the odds of a mother passing down a hidden ability is 60%

I knew it wasn't a 100% thing. I just wanted to know if it was the father or the mother who could pass their ability down.

I need me some Drought Ninetails to counter out the Sandstorms my friends whip up because they're so Tyranitar crazy

I know Gen 6 changed weather abilities to only lasting 5 turns, but still
