The upgraded form of Kamen Rider Knight, SH Figuarts Knight Survive is another excellent entry in the Ryuki line, with a much more bright and bold color scheme than the original Knight, and with a new articulated cape, that I wish all of my Batman figures had. Knight Survive includes a good bunch of accessories: a personalized Tamashii stage, seven(!) Advent Cards, the Visor, two swords (short and long version), a bunch of hands and cape pieces. It's a smaller release than the Knight, as he doesn't include his contract monster, but the smaller price (and the fact that you can actually find him on the secondary market, unlike Knight) should outweigh that small drawback. Knight Survive is another reuse of the Ryuki body, which is my favorite Figuarts body, it has excellent articulation, and is very well constructed, and I love the die-cast feet. It doesn't matter which figure from the line you have, but every Figuarts collector should have at least one figure from the Ryuki line. As usual, the paint work is excellent, the blue is a beautiful, deep, metallic color, the gold accents are crisp and stand out nicely against the black and blue colors. The Dark Visor-Zwei (that's what the Kamen Rider wiki calls it, anyway) is a multi-functional device that serves as a shield, a crossbow-like thing, and it includes a short blade for storing in the Visor, and a long one for Knight Survive to wield. The hands are everything you would expect, though there is new left hand for holding cards as well. It comes with an amazing seven Advent Cards, which I think may be the most by a long shot, since Knight himself. The cape is the most impressive of the accessories, in my opinion, as it adds a lot of character to the figure. The cape consists of four piece, two for the left and two for the right, and the two sides are symmetrical. The piece that attaches to Knight Survive does so on a hinge, allowing the cape to take a number of positions, from hanging down straight, to blowing back behind the figure, or even angled up as if he were falling. The other piece attaches to the first via a ball, and it's movement is mainly sideways away from the figure. This allows for a slightly more narrow cape, or a wide, billowing look. The cape pieces are beautifully sculpted and convey a sense of motion and grandeur that make Knight Survive a very impressive looking figure. All of the other Ryuki figures look on in jealousy at Knight Survive's cape. I highly recommend this figure, it doesn't appear to be as in demand as Knight, and as a retail release, it shouldn't be too difficult to find, or too expensive. And, if you can find the DX Darkraider figure from a number of years ago, it's a decent stand-in, at least until Bandai gives us an SH Figuarts version. |

Great gallery, Survive is another beautiful figure in the Ryuki line, and he seems to be a great entry point.

IneedthisIneedthisIneedthisIneedthis. I have no real reason for why I keep putting my purchase of Knight Survive off. It's a stunning figure and a gallery like this really just continues to reaffirm that. Well done, ryan.

Thanks, everyone. You shouldn't be putting this guy off. There were a couple for 2500 yen on Mandarake last night. |

Knight Survive is an absolute recommendation. It's a fantasticly beautiful figure. The pearly metallic blue paint just sets it off perfectly. And as Ryan has shown it scales great with the R&M Dark Raider bike. I too have one and it's just a perfect fit.
