So I finally watched the All Riders vs Dai Shocker movie, and uh, what does this have to do with the final episode of Decade? I mean, depending on which version you watch, Decade either defeats all of the riders and stares at Natsumi or Diend shoots Decade, but when you start this movie, it acts as if none of that ever happend. So where is the actual continuation of where episode 31 leaves off?
The movie itself was crap. Not only because it just randomly starts off without even showing what happened after the last scene of 31, but it was down right stupid. Rider battles in a stadium? Who the hell was the idiot that thought that was a good idea? Then you have the whole twist that Tsukasa is actually the leader of Dai Shocker, and grandpa is somehow Dr Shinigami, and what was the purpose of Kivaara and Natakuri? They served absolutely no purpose? I have to repeat what I said back in 2009, Decade is an utter pile of crap series that spat all over the concept of an anniversary series. It was lazy and half assed as shown that the writers did not even know how to end their own show even with a lackluster ending, as there was no ending at all. The only episodes this show has that are worth watching are the Black episodes, and that is just because of they actuall got Kurata back to reprise Kotaro. Plus getting to see Black kick ass in HD was awesome. Other than that though, Decade is garbage. __________________ |

Umm... All Riders is not the conclusion to Decade. It takes place near the end, yes, but still before it. It's Movie War 2010 that is supposed to be a continuation of Decade.
That probably resolves half the confusion. The other half is because... Well... Yeah, I thought it was pretty stupid too, and don't know how to begin to explain the rest. The stadium battles were ridiculous. Although I did like the grandfather being Dr. Shinigami. I thought it was funny. |

Not that Movie War 2010 does any better of a job resolving anything.

I just had to accept that Decade was a great concept...but just...poor execution doesn't do justice...It should have been like an OAV series, half the length and all...THEN it could have worked...maybe even actively crossed over with a current Kamen Rider show and even have the Shinkenger episode happen in their show to perk interest...

This.
Though Switchblade's right in that it too doesn't explain a damn thing. But in whatever vague continuity Decade tried to maintain, that's the one that follows episode 31. EDIT: Regarding your edit: I wasn't around as a fan then. I have no idea what could have been said. But really this movie isn't any big secret... I'm quite surprised you haven't heard of it. Especially since a third of it provides major backstory for W. But the Decade parts still don't make sense. |

Sort of. It's a very... Loose connection to the show. |

So I watched the Decade portion of the Movie Wars movie (I watched Begins Night a few weeks ago when I watched W) and thought it was still crap. There is still too much information missing between episode 31 and this, and stuff is still random. Narutaki is now a Shocker member? That seemed odd since he was trying to stop Shocker in the series. Plus the whole picture thing to revive Tsukasa made no sense. In fact, everything seemed to easy. So Decade is defeated and everything returns to normal? What the hell? What a cop out. There should have been something that was needed to be defeated in order to either keep the worlds seperated or merge them into one. Plus, they should have had the riders change to their correct identities (and of course, actors). They wouldn't need to show them all, but since they had the original actors for Kiva, Blade, Hibiki, and Agito, they could have easily stated as such. Oh, and then a random elephant shows up out of nowhere. And what is up with the giant Kamen Rider? He was in the All Riders movie too.
Again though, no matter how you look at it, Decade was just a giant train wreck and the only episodes I could see myself ever rewatching are the ones with Black. However, that will be a rare occassion. I think the writer's were just making it up as they went along and only did things just to provide fangasms. |
