So I was wondering how everyone's favorites from Gaim compare to their past favorites from previous series?
I have to say so far Ryugen/Micchy is one of my favorite characters in Kamen Rider history because how much I can relate to him but I'm not sure how he compares to some of my big favorites like Eiji(OOO), Takumi (Faiz), Yuusuke (Kuuga), Kagami (Gatack) and Hajime (Chalice). Have to see his entire story to see how much more I like him. However Ryugen is still super awesome to me. |

I can't really speak of anyone but Kouta.
Kouta won my heart immediately because he had fun as Gaim, and for the first time in toku, it properly felt like the suit footage was actually PART of the show and not just slotted in in post. Eiji is my favourite Rider, I LOVE everything about him but right now Kouta's member-of-tokunation-who-actually-got-a-driver personality is fast shaping him to be one of my absolute favourites.

Kouta deffinitely feels like Eiji-teir to me as well. Shotaro is my favourite rider of all time, but he and Kouta are VERY different. Kouta is an open book, and not afraid of emotion. Shotaro is the exact opposite, and tries to hide his feelings and be "hard-boiled." Shotaro is also VERY influenced by his mentor, but Kouta is influenced by no-one. They're both full of a strong sense of justice, though. Kouta also admits he cannot make dicisions, but Shotaro (again, aspiring to match his perception of his mentor) wants to make every dicision by himself. Shotaro was also, for the longest time, filled with guilt and regret, something Kouta doesn't seem to have going on.
It's actually quite interesting. Makes me want to see the two interact. They have such polar opposite ways, but are ultimately bound to the same goals. I like Shotaro because he's almost never statisfied with what he is, always aspiring to match that unmatchable mental image of his late boss. Kouta has no aspirations, and is completely confident in his abilities and himself. Both these aspects can be strengths and weaknesses the charatcers work around and learn from. So far, none of the Gaim dudes are anywhere near cracking my favorite Riders list. Micchy and Kouta probably come closest, as both are pretty interesting and well-developed. Kaito is kinda generic - I've seen that type before. Takatora might be cool, but has too little screentime for me to fairly judge. Pierre is an interesting side character but I don't really expect him to be around long. So far, Gridon and Kurokage are very low tier for me - about on par with TheBee or Imperor (which is still better than, say, Delta, who I usually forget exists).

Bravo is tied up with Zolda as my favorite rider of all time right now. Ryugen is pretty awesome too, and Gaim is a solid protagonist.

Holy shit, Zolda's your fav, too? He's, like, #3 on my list. I didn't know anyone else who liked him that much.
Bravo's easily #4, or at LEAST #5. |

Dude I loved Zolda! I still liked Ouja the best from Ryuki but Zolda really is one of my favorite riders out there.

I'll go with series' I've finished. So that's...:
Fourze Kiva Decade W OOO And, honestly, Gaim is definately up there on the creativity scale. But for out right beauty? Nothing beats Kiva Emporer. Nothing. |

Bravo is just the right mix of eccentric and dangerous. This is a character that is so over the top and wacky, but in a way that works far better than it should. I really, really hope he manages to stick around longer than most people seem to be expecting him to, even though I agree he is likely to be one of the first to go. I wouldn't peg him as this season's Scissors, maybe this season's Gai.
