Too similar from Fourze. Well, something needs to change. In Fourze, they didn't have a zodiarts rider to be the secondary rider to begin with before Meteor. If that appeared instead of having two riders, we'd still have the "rider is actually a monster in disguise" routine. He'd be like Chalice/Joker. KR didn't have any racing, so why not combine the constellations into racing? Main rider: Twelve signs of the zodiac Secondary rider: Chinese zodiac Third rider: Japanese zodiac with the four beasts It can go Agito style. |

I thought Kiva was a cool show, but a lot more haphazard than other Kamen Rider series. And the ending was pretty disappointing. But they handled the timelines really well (yeah, I'm even a fan of the time travel).
But I am biased... I will always love a Rider who's forms are powered by a Vampire, a Frankenstein monster, a Wolfman, and a swamp Creature. You bring up a cool angle, though. It would be cool to have a group of Riders, each one with forms that represent a different culture's traditional monsters. There could be the American/Euro monsters (Vamps, Frankenstein monster, Werewolves, etc) Rider. Then riders based on monsters from China, Japan, India, Russia, Africa, Scandinavia, etc. I'd love that. I'd also be into an "Adventurer"/Indiana Jones-style motif. But only so long as the main Rider had an Indiana-style fedora and whip. (I think we all know how cool KR Skull looked with a fedora.)

A vampire, werewolf, mummy, merman & frankenstein. And an angel to be its final form. |

Kiva is an odd duck, and it's not for everyone. For one, it only pays off about 5 of the 1,000,000 elements it introduces. So the ending is kind of unsatisfying. But if you're not expecting everything (or much of anything, really) to be explained, you'll be better off than I was.
But the ride is really fun, and the way they handle the dual time periods leads to some really well written episodes. It's definitely a YMMV deal, but I had a lot of (pretty mindless) fun with the show. |

Go for it. Some praise it as the epitome of KR, others decry it as the worst of Heisei. Opinions are split so much concerning Kiva that I'm curious what you have to say over it.

But yeah. I was incredibly confused for the first like 4 episodes. I think episode 4, where Kiva first uses his Garuru (Wolf Man) power up, is the point where I realized that the narrative conventions of this show weren't going to be quite like any other. For better or worse... |

The first few episodes definitely toss you in the deep end with absolutely zero explanation of what's going on. But I really love how batshit insane that makes everything feel. If you just turn off your critical faculties and let the jarring craziness wash over you, it can be really fun... even though you have to work really hard to piece together the random weirdness at first.

We've seen cards, whistles, usb drives, medals, switches, rings & locks.
How about... - fossils - discs/disks - batteries - power cells - orbs - keys - wheels - spinning tops - marbles |
