I am hyped for more Garo in 2014! Any idea when the anime is dropping?

A woman wielding soul metal is peculiar. I wonder if they'll go so far as to give her Makai Armor or she will just happen to have the willpower to wield the weapons. It'd be great to see the first female Makai Knight not in a Pachinko game!

Yaiba is a gender bender, not a "pure" female knight.

Akira/Misa still had armor specifically in his/her female form and not his/her male form.

Not in the series proper, probably explained in supplementary material. I still can't think of Yaiba as a female knight, though, guess that's just me. It's Misaki, BTW.

Akira still have to summon his armor in male form so no worry.
Yaiba may look feminine but it is still a guy's armor.
Just think of him as a slim guy.

On an aside anyone have cutscenes from the pachinko game featuring those three new Makai Knights? All I remember seeing is the promo trailer.

It's a character from some of the ancillary material - a dude who transforms into a female knight. I think he was in a pachinko game?

I don't think Akira changes into female form while inside the armor.
From the text I think he uses his Misaki identity for undercover operation, and diversion. He does have a thing for Kouga while he is Misaki...
