It was a cool looking event Pokemon. It's bad for me because i have 3 of them.

And it turns out I might have transferred just a regular Pichu seeing as I found the Pikachu-colored one (yes, it's just shiny, but this was its marketing name) in another box. That was embarrassing.

But of course, yes, the Notch-Eared Pichu would still be preferred. Poor thing will forever be abandoned on my HeartGold...

And I'm rather disappointed the notch eared Pichu is permanently stuck in Gen 4.
