I finished the two Agito films I have. (Yay! Ryo served an awesome purpose by punching Hojo!) Too bad it's all over. I enjoyed the series.
Now it's time to start Ryuki. |

I hope you love it
I am going to use DDLS from TV nihon from episode 37 on out so I no longer have to deal with shitty video quality on youtube. Yay! Faiz 32-36 Takumi's an Orphnoch? I don't see why of the characters have....a...pro..blem....with....it........ Did Wolf Orphnoch kill Mari? HOLY SHIT. Although the story has gone back to being mopy. And hey, Delta is in the hands of a good guy now. YAY! Last edited by Powerman293; 02-08-2014 at 05:14 PM.. |

Faiz Episode 2
So since we have one this episode, I figure I'll get my discussion about the opening done right away. I like the song. The opening part though is a misleading to me as it sounds like this kinda happy poppy like anime theme. But once the verse starts, the song gets really kick ass in my opinion. Like I commented in my episode 1 watch, the music sounds a lot like the stuff in Ryuki, and the OP theme is no exception. It has quite a bit of similarities to Alive A Life both instrumentally and to a degree vocally. The accompanying video is pretty nice as well. I guess Yuji is a main character since he's in a good chunk of the video, so it turns out his focus in episode 1 was at least somewhat justified. Though I still think episode 1 is rather dull and lacking in overall story focus. But I digress. With the theme and video out of the way, onto the episode. I find it kinda funny how Takumi becomes a rider. He simply got mixed up in the situation while looking for his bag. I don't know but it's pretty humorous to me that our protagonist becomes the protagonist by purely random circumstances. Sort of a wrong place at the wrong time kind of deal. Mari seems like a nice girl. It's weird seeing her so open now when last episode she was playing the hard ass role of being quiet, unfriendly, and not very talkative. Now the roles are switched. She seems like a nice person whose simply confused about what is going on. Takumi's reaction is understandable. Japanese people (and people all over the world as a whole) tend to not get involved with things that they don't know about and could care less about. So it makes sense that he wouldn't want to be dragged into Mari's situation with the belt and being a Kamen Rider. He simply wants to move on from it. I'm curious as well to how Yuji became what he is. I do see that Faiz is uh, not very subtle with some stuff as I just saw with Yuji and what not. The people's reactions were odd as well, it was delayed which I guess is reasonable since it just happened out of the blue. But I think somebody would have started screaming and panicking immediately. Oh and from that height he fell from, how is Yuji's head not in fucking pieces? Mari is pretty annoying and Takumi (at the moment) comes off as a bit of a jerk with his whole "Don't drag me into it" and "Don't bind me" attitude. Hopefully they don't stay this way for the whole series. Well, hopefully Takumi doesn't. Okay Yuji's mansion is freaking cool looking from the inside. I see that we finally have a term for our evil doers: Orphenoch. So they are beings that surpass humans. Okay but how do you become one? Are you just born into being an Orphenoch or do you become one later on? Who the heck is this girl anyways? I get that she works for the corporation, but still who exactly is she? So he travels because he has no dreams? How did he come to that decision? XD The all powerful belt that turns the user into a super powered being ended up in a pawn shop. Oh lordy is that hilarious. Oh and I love how Mari is like "It was stolen from me so please give it back." Like the guy is really going to just give it up. So they're going to raise the money by giving out haircuts on the street? Makes sense. I guess. Chie is an utter bitch I see. She was probably bullshitting Yuji before the cops showed up, and now she's accusing him of being the killer. Okay we as the audience know he did do it, but she doesn't know. And the cops would have no reason to suspect him even if they became informed about this weird relationship between Yuji and Chie. So Chie you my dear are a complete lying bitch. Honestly though, I feel bad for Yuji. He had his whole life ahead of him. Great parents, a good looking future, and a girl who at the time was great. But then his accident happened and everything changed. His parents died, he lost everything, and Chie got with somebody else and accused him of murder. Yuji has lost everything near and dear to him. And on top of it all, he now has powers he doesn't really understand. He could have been a Crow avatar if this was taking place within the universe of that franchise with all that has happened to him. He's truly an example of coming back from the dead to a world that has seemingly forgot about him and moved on. It's really tragic. It's the elephant man! Thank you for smoking this bitch Yuji. The horse/centaur effect still looks really good. I still think the slowed down rain effect in episode is the best in the show so far, but the effects all around look to be pretty darn good. Pretty shocking that they hold up form being from 2003. And damn did they get awesome! That thing is freaking huge! It looks good too. Though it does look a little shabby. But that could just be how I think it looks. Mari you are a dumb ass for hiding in the van. Like the giant elephant was really just going to run pass it and not notice you climbing into it. Seriously, that may be one of the dumbest things I have ever seen in Kamen Rider. It's as silly as Indiana Jones going into a fridge. That is one kick ass Rider Kick. Well it seems as if Yuji has gone to the dark side. I know I said I love the narrator's voice in my episode 1 review, but can I just say that the tagline is plain awesome. "Open your eyez for the next Faiz." Genius. So episode 2 was much better then episode 1. It was quite the exciting and gripping episode. I never felt bored while watching it, which is a good thing right off the back. The story was driven more here then in the first episode, as this one pretty much revealed the plot. Takumi is a reluctant hero who has to fight Orphenoch's. All episode 1 did was set up Yuji's fall into becoming a villain. Now while devoting an episode to do that isn't a bad thing, it's a bad thing to do for your first episode. The first episode should focus on setting EVERYTHING up, not just one part. The fighting here was pretty good, and the end to the fight was much better then the one kick to the mid section that we got in the last episode. The effects were still good, the story moved along nicely, the acting was pretty good. All around, episode 2 was much better then episode 1. I actually look forward to episode 3 now with what I'll call glee for lack of a better word, whereas episode 1 left me rather bored and not very excited to see the story continue. So far, somewhat good. Bit of a boring start but hopefully things start picking up now.

Just finished episode 3 of Faiz. I expect to say this a lot. Wow that was dark and depressing. And the dude Mari spent the rpusode with reminds me of the gates in Wizard, maybe Haruto should step in before he falls into despair. Nice seeing some new tech from Faiz as well. Fight was a bit on the short side though. And this looks to be our first storyline that goes beyond just one episode. And we got more of dat sexy Smart Brain girl. Curious to see where all this is heading. Especially since we seem to get a better idea of how one becomes an orphenoc. I do wish that Yuji coming to just accept what has happened to him and becoming a bad guy was drawn out a bit more, make him gradually come to terms with what he is and wgat he's done and then give him a big moment where he accepts that he isa villain.

Faiz 37 and 38.
So Takumi didn't kill Mari but that Magnugiga look-alike orphenoch did? Okay, don't know how's he's gonna convince everyone one of that but okay. The best LOL part of these episodes was when Mihara tried to transform into Delta in order to protect Takumi from Murakami's Orpnoch for and he got pushed out of the way. We're coming up to the end of an arc and I've been wondering where the hell Faiz Blaster was gonna show up but he shows up next episode according to the previews. |

Faiz Episode 3
Oh my God Chie is Jason! Quick, get Corey Feldman, he'll take care of her! How come everybody who dies turns into sand though? Are they Imagin or something? I guess I'm adding this to my list of things that need to be explained. ![]() Hmmm, so let me see. We have a girl who does phenomenally well at school, praised by her teacher, and loved by her parents. And she has a sister who apparently does not do well in school and get praise from the parents. Gee, I wonder if anything will come back to this. Okay how long until Michiko gets her ass handed to her? Serious I can see it happening from a mile away. The setup is there for Yuka to get her revenge on her. Now it's just a matter of pulling the trigger. D'awwwww, and she has a boyfriend as well. This episode couldn't hide it's happenings even in the dark of night. Serious Faiz I can figure out what's about to happen just by these last three scenes. I know Kamen Rider isn't that subtle with stories, but come on! Even W would show you the villain but still keep you guessing. You're just screaming what is going to happen. Caught red handed Mari! Takumi so far seems like the most unenergetic rider I think I've seen. It seems like he could care less about being a rider, the belt, the Orphenochs, or anything else for that matter. He doesn't seem to have any interests or dreams. He's just kinda, happening. I know the belt works with him, but is Mari sure she picked the right guy to become Faiz? Laundry delivery? That's a thing? They will take your clothing, clean it, and then deliver it to you? Okay Japan you just got even awesomer. Come on, that's pretty cool, you gotta admit that. That is a very good and legitimate question. How did a school end up that deep underground? Did somebody kick it down there or something? Did it sink? What the hell happened? Keitaro seems like a pretty fly guy. He wants everybody to be happy, is willing to do favors for them, including paying for those favors himself. He's a really nice guy who seems like he would do anything to help bring joy to a person's life. He should be the Kamen Rider, not dicky old Takumi. Okay when is Yuka getting revenge? Seriously if she doesn't get some sort of justice for all of the shit I've seen her put through I'm going to be an angry panda. She at least deserves something good to happen to her, and hopefully something bad to those utter bitches who are bullying her, not to mention her parents. She just doesn't deserve to get treated this way. Period. Keitaro you are having some bad luck my friend. Then again it could be worse. You could be Yuka. Or Yuji. While I'm here, can I just say that I find it utterly weird that Takumi has to build the belt? I mean it's one thing to insert a card deck, cellphone, pass, memory, or another object into a belt to activate it's powers. But having to build it? That's a little too much. Hell if you gave it to a newbie, he could be dead before he even henshins. Seriously why the hell did they decide to make the built buildable? It seems like something that as I said, could get you killed. That was quite the nonchalant attack there Takumi. How's he know how to do this stuff though? I noticed that there was a manual in the belt box. Did he read it at some point and just memorized everything? Or should I not think about the how and just go along with it? Toku makes your brain hurt sometimes. I see we have another Orphenoch. So this episode was fairly nice. It had a nice contained story which seems to be followed up in the next episode, so all good there. Didn't really help develop Mari or Takumi, which is kinda sad that we didn't get at least a smudge of development. Though I guess we could say there was some in that we saw how Mari is a bit of a trickster to get her way. Like the first episode, it seems like everybody but our main hero was the focus on the episode. I mean it's nice that they developed the Keitaro and Yuka story and put time on it. But it seems like there should have been some focus on Takumi and Mari outside of the brief moments they had in the episode, with Takumi having very little to do. So in the end, episode 3 was still better then 1, but not as good as 2. However it was not boring, and with it ending on a cliffhanger I'm definitely curious to see how the next episode unfolds. So yeah, guess I'm going to keep watching it. Oh and by the way, is it just me or does Takumi look like Shinji?

And man, you guys are really reminding me how engaging Faiz was at first. Part of me is honestly a little tempted to join the informal Let's Watch... until I stop and remember where the show ends up going. ![]() |

Oh don't get me wrong, I think they belts and weapons look kick ass. It's just I find the whole building aspect strange from a combat point of view.
