Haha, the fandom can never seem to agree on whether originality is better or not. Some say changing "ruins Sentai forever" while others express the same opinion about not changing (because Sentai did it better).

Regardless of faithfulness or not I think Power Rangers can be good if it's executed well. Time Force was a good translation while RPM was a good original series.

I never understood the "Don't change it!" mentality, to be honest. If you just watched Juuken Sentai Gekiranger, why would you want to watch it again with American actors?
I think PR was at it's best when they used the Sentai's premise and minor plot elements as a jumping off point for their own stories.

That's because Jonathan Tzachor the executive producer of the show thinks in the long term that's how Power Rangers will survive by just copying the sentai.
Heck the original Japanese script writers are getting credited in Samurai.

Also in case anyones wondering he and Judd Lynn became the executive back during 2nd half Turbo and was still EP until Disney fired him at the end of Wild Force.

I still don't know, guys. There's good arguements, in three threads now, about weither or not this'll be a direct translation or an original series. We'll see. MMPR has survived worse ideas, you know.
