Wow the face on the SHF is so squashed, and the logo looks HUGE. The SHF almost looks like a Chinese knock off. I just ordered SHF Trial, and now I'm terrified.

The Figuarts W mold does have some issues I'd liked fixed and brought up to current engineering but there's other, older Figuarts that could use a renewal more IMO. Like Kuuga and Agito.

I wouldn't be. Trial is not AMAZINGLY accurate, but easily captures the important features. I've always kind of wanted him, but always had other priorities.
http://www.cooksux.com/2010/12/19/shf_kracceltrial/ The biggest issue sculpt-wise is the shoulder pads jut out a bit too much, and maybe the mouth area is oversized, but I can't go searching for the sake of a comparrison right now. Last edited by SPLIT LIP; 02-13-2014 at 06:00 PM.. |

Can't comment on Agito though.

Glad Trial isn't completely shit.
I have the Pegasus Form Kuuga and I actually think he's pretty good. The paint is weird and the proportions are off but he's a wonderfully solid figure of one of the only forms I liked in that terrible show. Got him posed between my RPM Dinosaur Rangers ![]()

Now CJ looks kinda bad. ![]() I'm okay with the crest being somewhat thicker (it does look too thick to me now though), because if I have any complaints about Accel and Accel Trial, it's that I'm terrified the crest will break off. Hasn't happened yet, but then again, I just broke the tip off Kaixa's fin, and it's lots thicker than I remember Accel's being. ![]() I like the Kuuga body as well. It's a little odd looking to me, in places, but like the W figure, nothing that really bothers me. I my Mighty is loose-ish in the upper torso joint, but not enough that it causes problems often. Kuuga isn't as bad as W because it still looks good. The colours are right, the finishes are largely correct, the detail is crisp, and the head is only slightly thinner than it should be. Ditto Agito.
W, with the miscoloured joints, soft detail (like on the W Driver) severly off head and different finishes on the Joker side ends up looking REALLY cheap. Seriosuly, I never thought I'd ever have to PAINT a Figuart, let alone half it's body. And it still looks bad. Luckily this is where the other forms triumph, since the paint is largely consistent over them, and while joints are still miscoloured, they're at least ALL miscoloured. I never seen people had issues with the W and OOO figuarts until I join this site. I go on Youtube for toy reviewers like ShukuenShinobi, DosmRider, Vangelus and Peaugh for Figuarts reviews. They and other people on Youtube seem to like those two figuarts and never had issues with them.

In OOO's case the figure's quality does feel noticeably lower than other Figuarts. Paint apps on some can be a bit sloppy, too. Though he's not a bad figure in the end.
In W's case, yeah this is like the only place I've seen so many complaints about him. He's not the best rendition of the character (something like the model kits or large-scale medicom-type figures would take that title) but it's not the terrible figure I keep hearing about here.

I think you need to clock down your hyperbole. I never said the W Figuart is terrible. It's a terrible rendition, outdated, and I've said mine has several quality issues that (AFAIK) are not widespread.
