Mai dancing is not important! It isn't going to fix everything going on right now! So go sit in a corner, take a chill pill, and hush.
Well that was another great episode. All I have else to say is poor Jounouchi ![]()

Wow this episode was weird. dancing.....I really could do without it. Though I think this episode might just be the end of it. Still, even with the dancing, there was enough small things that moved the plot forward so that this wasn't completely filler.
I think this episode was a sendoff to the beat rider subplot. I don't think it'll go anywhere after this, other than Zack using his new belt to help defend beat rider's as Baron's new leader or something. I really like Kamen Rider Knuckle's design and henshin pose, but I wish his fight scenes were cooler. Maybe they'll get better in time if he shows up more, since Zack's just learning to use his powers. Hopefully he gets more to do than just defend Team Baron occasionally. On the other hand, Gaim's fight scenes were pretty awesome ,especially at the beginning of the episode. I do like how Kaito's attitude towards the dancing is the same as most of ours, being: Yeah, this dancing shit's over with. We should focus on the real plot. Which...is what they seem to be doing in the next episode. I was gonna complain about DJ Sagara talking about the beat riders again, when Duke had mentioned that part of his job is over but I'm glad they had that scene with Takatora wondering what the hell he was doing as well. The preview for next ep makes it seem like he's gonna go behind Yggdrassil's back even more. So yeah. Knuckle looks cool hope he gets better fights next time. Oren is hilarious as always. Hopefully this really IS the end of the dancing and I wish I could see next week's episode now... Last edited by Battlizer; 02-17-2014 at 05:19 PM.. |

Tis episode was acually pretty good. I like of how every episode isn't completely filler.
I liked Knuckles introduction and it was just cool. Seeing Kaito leave Team Baron was a bit of a shocker, but maybe he'll steal more "blank" belts so there can be an army of Knuckles ![]() Now the previews for next week look good, probably won't see what Micchy saw a couple episodes back but still. Now I really want my Sengoku Driver to come in. >_< |

The Dancing has always been a bit of a miss for me, and I do hope it'll be over for now, especially since things look like they're picking up.
Knuckle definitely seems much more competent compared to Kurokage and Gridon, so I hope he gets the better end of the deal compared to being either killed or turned into a Butt Monkey. Kouta seems to get the short-end of the stick, since it looks like he's facing off against not only Duke, but Sigurd and Zangetsu-Shin next week. Also, Sagara looks like he has something up his sleeve. |

Did anyone else notice that Jounochi hesitated then started dancing? I'm hoping he might break away from Oren and possibly try to avenge Hase!

This episode was weird for me, so far Gaim has been a show I have appreciated much more in terms of narrative than I ever have visually. But this was probably the first episode which was almost the complete opposite.
Because, in terms of narrative, this episode was almost entirely pointless. You don't need to tell us, 18 episodes in, that the dancing aspect of this show is pointless. We knew that from the very start. Although man that all girl in white team, lovely. But ironically, for maybe the first time in this show, it had some genuinely brilliant action. From seeing the Inves dancing, to Pine arms finally getting used again, it was great. If it wasn't for Beat Rider Knuckle this'd probably be the first episode that achieved nothing for either the plot or the characters. It's lucky then that that first outing with Knuckle was amazing - from his stylish superpowered boxing to the high energy fight with Baron at his side. A blend of Bravo, Gridon and Kurokage? Who knew the footsoldier driver could cause such fascinating results? Is he getting an AC? It's the first one I've been interested in for a while.

This episode was...well I'll put it bluntly, I've never fast forwarded through an episode of Gaim until today. Don't get me wrong I know some people like the dancing aspect of it and it was an interesting way to progress into the deeper plot points but after everything that's happened in the show it's just been overshadowed to the point that I don't really need to or want to see that much of it.
That's not to say the episode was bad, on the contrary it was a good intro for Knuckles and the brief appearance of Duke, and the fights were done well too. Though I think this episode may be a sort of tribute/farewell to the dance aspect of the show, they did it to clear the Beat Rider's names in the city and now the real fight is beginning, this was a big finale to show off the dance teams all at once before they pretty much disappear from the show. Overall not bad, but next week's looks like it'll be more of what Gaim delivers on best.

Yeah, I hope he gets to play a bigger role later down the line. I was thinking...if another version of the opening scene from the first episode does happen, then maybe instead of Gridon standing by Baron's side, it'll be Knuckle. Since that makes infinitely more sense.

I actually cared about the dancing. Before, I was apathetic towards it, but this episode got me to care about it in a positive way.
Also, Kaito is awesome. I just wanted to let you know. |
