Since people were wanting a Legacy Megazord with Titanus coming, I posted a full list of every TRU in the country with Legacy Megazords left. It's not a big list.
Unless there is someone in CA, AZ, or FL willing to pick me up one of the cheaper ones...will pay cost + shipping + a little extra for time/gas |

As I live in NJ, I've been to the TRU in Elizabeth. It's the huge one that's facing the Ikea and that's across the Turnpike from the airport.

I'm surprised nobody has commented on the Dragonzord's Power Staff...that thing is humorously large! Just the drill is taller than the whole thing combined...
![]() But...if you look at actual show pics: ![]() ...You can see that in the Power Staff there's only 3 segments of the tail when the tail itself has 5 or 6 which leads me to believe that to be show accurate the tail should come apart and only half of it getting put on the Power Staff which would make it about the right size. But looking at all these pics from TF14 it looks like it doesn't come apart which I think is a huge oversight. The tail looks amazing in Dragonzord mode, but the power staff just looks ridiculous and i don't even see how it can combine with Mega Dragonzord like the original toy did... Damn, that's huge. It'd be neat if the tail could separate at the 4th segment, but I don't see that ever happening.

Comparing the toy to the actual show suit directly beside each other in that post, you can see about fifty horrible inaccuracies with the toy. It actually looks pretty awful.

I've been talking about inaccuracies since the first images. It's proportions are all wrong to start and that tail is just a joke. I may get one but I'm not running to get it. If I stumble on it then that's another story, but I think I'll legitimately have to think about it first.

I'm disappointed in the way the legs form together. The heels of Dragonzord's feet should snap around the red squares on the guns of Sabre-toothed Tiger and Triceratops and form one unified leg, but the legs are angled funny and it looks like they will just rotate independently on top of just looking too slim for the rest of the combination. This is all just a side effect to them reusing the 2010 molds instead of just making new ones.
Then, sadly, Bandai UK I've noticed has the actual tail piece and confirmed that it DOESN'T actually come apart like it should due to all the segments being linked with ball joints. The face I noticed is also different, instead of both sets of teeth being part of the face that folds down, it's just the bottom set of teeth which now frames the face and just looks weird. The teeth aren't supposed to be visible on the top or bottom when the face is down and now they're visible on BOTH the top AND the bottom. And last, I have yet to see how they dealt with the tip of Tyrannosaurus' tail not folding back flat and I've heard that there's a big piece of the back of Dragonzord's head missing to accommodate the tail. I think the Dragonzord looks good and is a step up from the original toy, and I will for sure pick one up, but I'm just disappointed in the combination. I'll only be displaying my Megazord and Dragonzord separately because of it. Last edited by kiwisoup; 02-21-2014 at 02:42 PM.. |

I just don't see it as a step up. A stand in for an original? Sure. But the original still looks and functions like a superior toy to me. The proof is in the side by side shots. The original is just bulkier and more impressive, and despite having bloated proportions the original still matches the show suit more closely. If an authentic Dragon Caesar wasn't like $200-300 I'd rather have it instead.

The 2010 Megazord was a cheap flat-out toy made for new fans watching the reversion episodes, and they added their gimmicky Zord Builder feature to have it combine with zords it wasn't meant to while hindering it from combining with zords it was actually MADE to combine with. Then to make matters worse they released the Mix and Morph Titanus with even more gimmicks that hinder any future combinations and their design clearly showed that they didn't plan for any combination with Dragonzord. Instead of just redoing the whole Megazord of modifying it for the Legacy line, a line made for adult collector's...they just reused it, when now that we see Titanus is not a complete reuse of the mold is just rubbing salt in the would. I think if they could have gone back and redone it knowing that the Legacy line would be so popular, they would have. I just find these flaws something that isn't acceptable in an expensive adult collector's line when I would have let them slide if they were just toys. |
