Locke, do you mind the overflowing amount of teen agnst coming from this show? Because you're going to get balls deep into it in the 30s and 40s of Faiz.

I was more annoyed by how Mari became Bella Swan. The only plot in Faiz is no matter who Mari meets, they immediately fall in love with her. And just like Bella Swan, there is no logic, Mari doesn't seem particularly great inside or out.

I wish I had that too. Even though I don't have a job, I don't have a lot of free time to watch these shows.

Personally I love Faiz because I related with the character and related with some of the other characters. I enjoyed the action a lot and the storyline, I honestly don't let a lot of the problems bother me.

But there are no characters or plot, that is the problem.

Well the geography of Faiz was so bad, I was pretty much certain that outside of Lucky Clover, The President, Takkun's gang and the Ryuusei school the city was entirely empty. That is the only way I can fathom how our heroes seem to always stumble across Orphenoch attacks without build up, context or even any effort at continuity of time and place.

Faiz Episode 9
Is Naoya PMSing or something? Seriously I need a better reason for knocking over sandwiches other then "This isn't the time for eating happily." Yuji seems optimistic as always. I'm almost fairly sure it'll happen, but if it doesn't I really want reality to come crashing down on him HARD. We sort of saw something like that in the first two episodes but since then he's been playing a sort of peacemaker role, only getting involved when needed. Now there's nothing wrong with that, but it's starting to seem like he's always cheerful and optimistic, and is going to play the white knight role of the show. With all of that, I'd like to see it all come crashing down him and see how he reacts then. For once I fully agree with you Takumi. They are not the police and while Takumi is a Kamen Rider, and thus hero for the city, he doesn't have to help out with every little problem. A prowler is something you go to the police for when you need help with it. It's okay to tell somebody about the problem to get advice, but don't ask them to fully help you with it. On in Keitaro's case voluntarily sign up to do so. If there's any two things that I dislike about this show it's that Takumi is a total asshole save for a couple of occasions, and the fact that this is slowly turning into Scooby Doo with the group taking on local issues that the police should handle. Uhhhh why did they have to change clothes exactly? So the big prowler case is that somebody breaks into houses, steals some food and then cleans the entire house? Faiz why are we wasting time on this! The time used to explain that situation and the time spent on this whole angle could have been used for something better. More focus on the Takumi/Mari plot, character development, more stuff with Yuji, Yuka, and Naoya. ANYTHING other then this. I think this is the first time watching this show when I have found a plot point completely stupid. I've said that character traits are stupid, but never a plot point. Well I just did. This prowler/burglar plot is S T U P I D! "It's nothing you should worry about. We will never let any harm come to him." That ladies and gentlemen is secret code for "He's dead and we killed him." Protective charm? The belt has brought her nothing but trouble. Also I know what he said was probably a lie of some sort, but why make a belt to fight off Orphenochs when you people are Orpehnochs? Come on that's like a serial killer sending a letter to the police saying his name and when and where he will kill next. It's just going to come back and bite you on the ass. These two argue like an old married couple. Oh hey more cockteasing of this romance. Except this time they're face to face and talking. But hey they still won't find out who the other is so, yeah. Oh, she's got to sign something. No, she'll use a fake name, she'll use a fake name. The show isn't going to have them meet, the show isn't going to have them meet. Knew it. Uhhh Mr. President I don't think you should be sleeping in the middle of a business meeting. Now that's a cool looking Orphenoch. Sort of like a mummified beetle. I like it! SPIRIT BOMB! Holy shit Naoya is Faiz! I wonder how he got the belt. Did Smart Brain give it to him, did he steal it? Hopefully the next episode explains this. Well this episode was rather boring. Probably the most boring since the original. True this had some entertainment to it, whereas episode 1 had zero entertainment to it. Still though this one fell kinda flat. There wasn't that much action, no character development, a stupid ass sub plot, and no story at all. The only things noteworthy about it to me is the Orphenoch, and seeing Naoya as Faiz. So episode 9 was pretty boring and isn't one of the best of the show that I've seen so far. On the plus side Kaixa comes in next episode! He's the main reason I've been wanting to watch Faiz so it's great that he's finally coming into the show!

Faiz Episode 10
Smart Brain Lady gets creepier and creepier with every episode. Anyways I see that SB's plan/idea is to use the Faiz Gear to get rid of the Orpehnochs that do not measure up to the president's standards. That's slightly predictable but to be honest I didn't even think that is what he would do with it last episode. Though to be frank, that sounds like a fairly elitist plan. I get he wants strong Orpehnochs but I don't know, this seems a bit odd. Is he trying to create a master race or something? Okay so the president picked Naoya to be Faiz but why? What does he feel Naoya can bring to the table as Faiz the Exterminator? Well I'd say Takumi is depressed over these recent events. Either that or he's just in shock. I see Yuka is going to have a little bit of fun with her powers. It's actually pretty cool to finally see her Orphenoch form. I like how it looks. It doesn't really have a bird like motif like she's suppose to have, but honestly I don't really mind. The design just looks fantastic just like the other Orpehnochs. Say what you want about the show but you have to admit, it has some pretty awesome monster designs. Although the scene does seem to showcase that Yuka may not feel entirely like Yuji does. I mean she was pretty quick to off those guys. True they were harassing her for money and would have probably done more sexual things to her (odd considering she's a teenager but hey, this is Faiz after all). You could theorize she'll only turn into a happily killing monster when people annoy, irritate, and just plain piss her off, but I don't know. I think her experiences with her family and classmates may have turned her into an actual monster in terms of how she acts, and it's only now coming out. You know I was about to make a joke about how when he's down Takumi acts nice and pleasant, but it seems like I was wrong. I guess he just spaces out every now and then in a situation like this. Oh well. So is the show suggestion that Smart Brain has it's fingers' into a lot of markets and can thus cover stuff up when needed? That sounds fairly cliche. Actually not fairly, it is cliche. But perhaps if that is what the show is suggestion, they'll do their own spin on it and make it different in some fashion. Not going to lie, Mr. Faiz has a nice ring to it. Now that was a good fight. Not a whole lot of back and forth though as Naoya was basically squashing Yuji when he (Yuji) wasn't flying around. Only time Yuji really got a good blow in was when they first started climbing up the stairs and when Naoya hesitated and Yuji hit him with the sword. But still it doesn't have to be back and forth to always be a good fight. This one was a bit one sided, but it still delivered on some great action. The Takumi Faiz fight with the mummy Orphenoch was nice as well, albeit a short as hell though. Still, nice fight. Of course, of fucking course! Kaixa shows up at the end and doesn't do anything other then stand there! But...it seems like he'll be in action next episode. So that's a plus. I'm just happy I finally get to see Kaixa. Well this episode was much better then episode 9. It had a story to it with Naoya being the new Faiz. It had some nice character development for Yuka, Naoya, and Takumi. The fight scenes were great as well as I previously mentioned. This was a good episode and as I said is much better then the previous one. Episode 10 had a good amount of everything one could want in an episode as far as what appears. The trend continues of every other episode being good, it following up a fairly bad one. The standard is there and I can only hope it doesn't stay like this for the remainder of the show. One fifth and all I can say is that I am entertained. True I'm only fully entertained and engrossed every few episodes, but even during some of the more boring ones I can find one aspect to usually get some entertainment all of. I'm liking what I watch so far so I may as well keep going.
