They have the shows on DVD. I doubt they do re-runs of the older shows unless they have their own version of TV Land which plays classic TV shows.

I'd say they probably don't unless they get shown during the week at some point.

There indeed are stations airing older series, but obviously the prime slots aren't typically used for re-airing older shows, either going with the current stuff or whatever event is big enough to pre-empt them (sports, mainly).

Toei's channel frequently airs older series, I recall. And I'm pretty sure that DVR is common in Japan. I recall reading an article that said KR & SS ratings improve significantly when you factor in DVR.

There are re-runs of both older and newer shows from time to time, but of course it's not that much of a big thing. According to Ono Kento's (GoseiBlue's) blog, Goseiger had a re-run last year somewhere. The Toei channel currently re-runs Go-Onger and KR Blade, but if I remember correctly, they also had Battle Fever J and Kamen Rider Black in the line-up. By the way, is there a re-run of the week's episodes on Friday night? In a short clip after some of the Gaim episodes, it said something about "join us on Friday nights"- would make sense, if some of the children missed the morning broadcast. |

I believe there are reruns of Gaim on fridays from what I've heard about it. |

the reason i ask this is because for example if kids are watching premiere episode of toqger and they buy toys for that but if they want to watch it again for that or if they miss the premiere of it, how do they watch the rerun of it?

Even if there wasn't the Friday night rerun thing as there apparently is, how do you watch a currently-airing TV show when you miss the latest episode? Online? On demand? DVR?
