Or that they were just Easter Eggs that JDF probably wasn't even told about because they don't mean anything and never will.
I'm sorry if I'm being rude, but this is getting a little tiresome. They're tiny emblems in the backgrounds of scenes, they're not pointed out, they're not focussed on, they just don't mean anything. They are not explanation behind lazy editing, they're just nothing. If no one ever says otherwise that's the end of it. Hell, we never got an explanation for the phantom ranger. Fan fiction writers constantly insist on fanon explanations for things. Even though Tommy's siblings were never named everyone and their grandma refers to them by fanon names. What I'm try to say is, getting annoyed about people make theories isn't going to help. If the fanon is going to latch onto it (and in my opinion it already has) then it will and that's final. Like I said in my previous post if they don't use this as a link I personally think they've missed a trick. If they've lucked into this than by god that's seriously lucky. And in 20 episodes who's to say we won't see a liveman morph. Plenty of things are shown but never explained. It is not a problem with SMF alone. eg., Time force has those CGD logos. Often this is simply one writer wanting to do something plotwise that gets left out because of time constraints or "producer says no". Rarely are those hints of missing plot ever edited out. By all means call it lazy editing because I do agree with you there, but people seem to conveniently forget the multitude of problems that are peppered throughout the franchise's 20 years. This is why I think people are being a little too harsh. But again I'm not telling anyone to stop, or that they're wrong. Let's just try and be intelligence and cordial about this whole thing. I agree. There's no meaning to them at all other than what people are misplacing to them. I also don't wish to appear rude. I really don't. But the logic of "let's imagine any connection at all so this show can make sense" is just getting old. Disney wasn't planting seeds for Saban to use if they ever reacquired to franchise. There is no underlying logic to this. It's an easter egg from Dino Thunder, that's it.
And if you think JDF is always a nice guy, trust me, that isn't the case.

After last week's excuse for an episode I went in expecting the worse, but as far things go this one actually wasn't that bad. It wasn't without it's problems though - Casey seemed REALLY out of it through the entire thing, and "A Ranger never lets go of his/her weapons." seems like a really odd message to be teaching kids.
However the same stupid things keep cropping up. I quite liked the idea of keeping the Goseiger suits at first, but even I can't deny how increasingly pointless they've become. And surely Noah must have a damn laptop? Why the hell does he keep researching the past rangers at school??? Also, was that Jungle Fury footage they used? After the previous "database" footage that comes as a bit of a surprise.

Only reason they are having the Goseiger suits show up is to fill an extra couple of seconds and hoping to move unsold Megaforce toys. Only thing I can think that makes sense is the execs decided they should show them in every episode since all these others suits pop up and kids will still want to buy the toys. And, yes, the school computer thing is dumb on a whole new level. |

Yeah that scene was REALLY dumb and Troy even got on Noah's case about the whole researching thing, minus not for the reason we're getting on his case about it, but still

Was Troy trying to be like Marvelous in this episode? Because I'm pretty sure he failed (and I haven't even watched Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger).

Seemed like Troy was in extra "Be a Dick" mode..... "A Ranger never lets go of his Weapon....that's it!" Way to just shut down people who disagree Troy.... Ever think the Smart guy might have a better solution?

Finally saw this one. Alright, two things I didnt like- Troy was acting like a dick for some reason, where did the importance of weapons come from? Casey seemed, out of it this time. I dont know, he just seemed to not be in this totally.
But my favorite Red, my favorite of this series is my favorite from the tributed series in legendary form. Along with a great way to tribute the whole series. Plus no "new powers" Loved the episode!

So I finally sat down to watch this one. Here are my thoughts.
Let me preface this by saying I really did think this was a better and more polished episode than the previous 5. But "better" doesn't mean much when talking about this show. - I'm going to have to say this every week. But the ADR is absolute garbage and still has not improved since the first episode. It's just awful in every possible scene it can be. - I know a lot of people have lauded Jason Smith for apparently being really good for the franchise. But he was terrible in Jungle Fury and is somehow even more drastically unnatural here. And his writing has been nothing to speak of at all this season. Yet again Azim appears to be the only actor who emotes on this set. - VERY happy to see that "New Powers" were not present in this episode. However, too little too late if you ask me. The damage from the complete lack of editing and any form of continuity or respect for the franchise was thrown out the window long ago by this show. It's great they got their act together I guess. But we've already seen a ton of sentai stuff sneak in here with no context at all. And no matter how much people desperately try to piece something together with plot threads that don't exist, it just doesn't work. Call yourself a "true fan" or "diehard" or whatever you want, but you should expect better of something if you truly love it. Not settle for what we've been given. - Still trying to keep up the uselessness of the Megaforce suits eh? Still see no point to that at all. They've basically turned them into the ninja costumes from MMPR. They're just a pointless in between state now. - The bits with Emma & Jake were actually really enjoyable. I honestly mean that. Their interaction with Casey was very akin to Ahim & Doc's with Jan in Gokaiger. That was meaningful interaction for once. - The episode itself was overall good though despite any criticisms I may have. It distilled the most core point & plot of the episode it's adapted from and presented it pretty decently. The show actually has improved. I'll give it that. But improvement hardly matters when the show is still this bad. Oh and Troy was a total prick this week. For no apparent reason. Ridiculously out of character the entire episode.
