Tommy can't keep a Megazord from blowing up to save his life, he can't keep up a good relationship, he can't even defeat a newbie Ranger, and he lost his most popular powers to a candle.

Not to mention that Adam was the one that the Sentinel Knight (or whatever his name was) called back to help stop Thrax, not Tommy.

So he got his MMPR powers back seven years before Tommy did. And even Jason got to keep his old powers after Forever Red.

For someone who loves his MMPR powers so much, he sure took his dear sweet time getting them back.
