Faiz Episode 34
Well uh, rest in peace Mari...for now. That ringtone does not match Kusaka one single bit. It's too cheerful for him to be using. He needs something a bit heavier if you ask me. This Mihara guy is annoying me. If anything gets too hard to deal with, he bolts. It's a quality I've grown not to like, and due to this I also dislike myself some. And you know what the sad part is? That guy is probably going to end up being Delta. Also the drop in video quality is really showing this episode. I wish Takumi wasn't so depressed right now. It would have been cool to see an actual fist fight between people not in a power suit or in their demon form. It seems like Kamen Rider doesn't have as any of those type of fights as Sentai does. Kinda a shame if you ask me. So you're willing to give Smart Brain, the people that have been trying to kill you the three belts they've also been trying to take from you (and have on occasion) just to save Mari? Kusaka I know you love her, and I know you and everybody else would do anything to revive her. But this is a bad idea. What's to say they'll actually save Mari? They could take the belts, take her and be like "Uhh couldn't do anything. Thanks for the belts and letting us summon our king you dope." Maybe you should have thought this out a little more. Naoya if you want to be a hero, you have to learn that you sometimes have to meet with those you save. Especially the children because to them, you're a super hero just for saving their life. So suck it up and be a man Naoya! Make me like you more then I already do! Why didn't he save your mum and dad? I don't know, maybe because he wasn't aware that they were in there. Plus even if he had the thought, how was he suppose to know where they are? He could have asked, but you three were about to get burnt to a crisp, so asking questions wasn't really a top priority. I know you're upset kid and it's easy to lash out at Naoya considering he saved you and not your parents, but try to think logically some and consider what all was happening at the time and what mindset a rescuer might be in. Oh so now you're thinking straight? Now you remember that Smart Brain is the evil corporation you've been trying to destroy. Couldn't you have realized that before driving all the way to their building. You just wasted gas Kusaka, not cool! Uh oh. I think Takumi is about to make a deal with the devil. Ku-kusaka just broke down. He showed real emotions. It was mostly anger like we usually see, but it was also sadness. These emotional scenes, I really love them, and this was quite a surprising one. I didn't think I'd see Kusaka breaking down like in the series at all. Very nice work their show, very nice work. I see foreshadowing! BAI GOD KING! IT'S THE DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE! Called it. How the fuck did Takumi do that? Seriously just when and where did he become an Orphenoch? Shock aside though, I am really digging how his face design looks. The rest of the suit is okay but that face is sweet. But seriously, how the fuck did this happen?! Well uh, episode 34, it was something wasn't it? The story in the episode was actually pretty nice. The story pretty much revolved around everybody dealing with the passing of Mari, and it brought quite a good amount of emotions with it. I'd say in that aspect, Kusaka's breakdown was probably the standout moment. But then again, I think we all know what the standout moment is of the episode, and it also happens to add the most to the main story of the show. There was also some nice character development in the episode as well. The main parts of it being for Kusaka and Takumi. In Kusaka's case, the aforementioned breakdown when we get to see him actually show off some genuine emotion outside of complete anger. It may have been a combo of sadness and anger, but I don't think it was just pure unadulterated anger. On Takumi's end, the continuation of seeing him become more depressed, but also seeming to come to the mindset of "Do whatever it takes" in regards to the Mari situation. It does appear as if he's willing to make a deal with the devil, and perhaps he may just do so. There wasn't really a whole lot of action in the episode. However for what we got, it wasn't all that bad. The main scene was the one at the end with Kusaka and Mihara VS Saeko and Sawada, and it does stink a bit that it wasn't that long. It had some back and forth in it until Saeko showed up, and once she did it just became a brawl, though a bit of a one sided brawl. All in all, considering this episode only had one fight/action scene, I'll judge it based on that. So on that merit, the action was good, but it could've been really good if it went on longer and feature a tad more back and forth. In the end, we have a good story, some good character development, and fairly good action. The episode delivered in all three categories, but nothing really reached the realm of making the episode perfect. Even the character development which I think is the best part of the episode isn't even near the perfect tier. So even with it hitting every category pretty well, the episode totals up to be a better then average, but not extraordinary episode.

Super-1 Episode 14: Nazi Scientist, Killer Laughing gas, and death trap? What is this a DC Comics show? Lol. Interesting plot twist with General Megirl that just happened to not have subs, well this is what I get for watching HK Subs. Anyways interesting episode, Dogma has deadly plans, and Kazuya kicks ass. Showa era goodness. =)

Hibiki Episode 3-6
Ah well, it's been a while since I got to watch Hibiki, but now I'm back to it. I still like the show a lot. The atmosphere is great and I like the cast a lot so far. Can't wait to see the other Hibiki riders in action in the next episodes. |

Faiz Episode 35
Takumi's Orphenoch design is pretty darn cool. The only thing about it I don't like is the fur. Know it's a wolf and all but it just doesn't really fit with the suit IMO. Outside of that nitpick, suit looks great. And lul at everybody being like "Dafuq is this shit?" Uhhh I really do not like Mihara. This whole running away/going home thing is driving me nuts. Dude just man up and fight. I know that the Japanese tend to not get into others affairs, but this one is pretty much directly effecting your life Mihara. So shut the hell up, let your balls drop, and start fighting. "Oh nothing much. I was thirsty and wanted to invite you out for drinks. We're having nice cold glasses of PUNCH!" You for being 35 episodes in, I'm surprised I never questioned this: how come Keitaro wears his phone around his neck? Is he afraid of losing it if he puts it in one of his pockets? Was it just easier for him to get to it if it was around his neck? I'm really quite curious as to why he does so. I have to agree with Saeko here. I could easily see Takumi turning on them within an episode or two once Mari is alive and back to normal again. Murakami seems pretty content though as he seems to trust Takumi. Maybe he ordered the doctors to put something in Mari so that if Takumi disobeys him, he can press a button and Mari drops dead wherever she is laying. That would be how you control somebody who you ask to bring back to life. That scene give off a Frankenstein feel to anybody else? Mihara it's nice to see that you may have finally grown a set, but I think your friend is dead. She doesn't seem to be moving. So she's either unconscious, or she's dead. Nevermind she's alive. You may not be a ghost, but hot damn girl are you going to freak them out a bit. After all, you just came back from the dead. Pretty sure that would freak quite a few people out. That Orphenoch is Takumi isn't it? I'm calling it now, the Orphenoch that attack Mari's school reunion is in fact Takumi. Jesus Christ Kusaka! The fuck you hit Mari for? You couldn't just shove her or tell her to shut up? Did you really have to punch her? Well I just want to say...CALLED IT! Well that was 35 and I must say it was a pretty nice episode. It like 34 hit every category one could asks for in an episode. And to be fair, it did it better then 34. The episode's story was done very well in my opinion. It had a good pace to it with how everything unfolded. It's also a pretty easy story (IMO) to see: Takumi fighting to get Mari saved, he does so, and the fallout from it beings to happen. The story also added to the overarching main plot in the form of Mari being revived, Takumi joining Lucky Clover, and Mari remembering what exactly happened on the day of the Ryuusei School reunion. The same goes for the character development parts of the episode. The development was mostly for Takumi, however it (like it should) played right into the episode's story. Takumi developing as a character himself, and Takumi developing his relationship with everybody close to him, especially Mari. Like the story, the character development here was very nice. Finally we come to action. Just like the last two, it did very well in my opinion. Takumi VS Saeko and Sawada was a great fight and did a great job at introducing Takumi's Orphenoch form/powers. Mihara VS the one Orphenoch (How come the other guy didn't join in? Was he just a driver?) was good too, and showcased him (Mihara) finally accepting that he may just have to fight, evident by him seeming to willingly use the belt as well as fighting back really hard. Kusaka and Takumi VS Saeko and Takuma was pretty good as well. It had some nice back and forth, but not so much as to still keep Saeko and Takuma are still threatening. All around, the action was very good. 35 hits on all of the levels in my honest opinion. It has good action, and outright great character development that comes with a great story. But like 34, even though it is firing on all cylinders, it could be better some. So even with all three categories hit, and hit well, it is not a perfect episode. However I will say that it is in fact the second near perfect episode of the show.

Kabuto 19-20: So Sasword's here, and he's a dick too? Great.
Also, why is everyone a thief all of a sudden? That was your best plan? Just what. Gattack seriously better be worth all of this.

for my retro viewing I started on Hibiki today with the first two episodes of it. I gotta say it is really different from a typical kamen rider. the music and sound affects, visuals, and pretty much all of it. gotta say I am loving it so far and right off the bat I gotta say hibiki is a pretty cool and likable guy. that and the fact that there was sing talking for the first couple lines in episode 1 was funny. the hibiki costume is really reflective. seeing him helmetless, making the drum sticks, and fighting the giant demon spider was a joy.

I don't think it's possible to hate a character as much as I hate Kusaka. He's like that guy that hates to see everybody else having more fun than him so he decides to burn down the whole house.
