I admit I haven't read much of Marvel 2099, but I don't remember the slang being so annoying in the originals.

Ock made them switch brains, comics have always been convoluted, so that's pretty tame all things considered.

Yup I only gotten around to the first few Issues but they never talked that crazy. The Slang in the originals is much more toned done compared to what Slott did

Oh god I hope so, I love Spidey but I prefer him as a loner or on team-ups than as part of a proper team.

I completely agree. Another thing that always bugged me and never really worked was that the Avengers all know each others secret identities...except for Spideys. I know after all the Civil War stuff they probably didnt bother but its still pretty weird to me. Especially since Tony is such a big control freak.
