Contrary to that belief Zyuranger actually is popular in Japan. It's the show that revolutionized sentai design asthetics for rangers & robos.

I hear Zyuranger had better toy sales then Jetman. I think more people in the US have more nostalgia for the suit designs of Zyuranger then Japan does. Bluefin said in their interview that Kiba Ranger's design is more popular in the Western fandom.

Oh definitely the US is a huge part of why those figures were developed. But Zyuranger is one of the big Sentai in Japan. It really brought the franchise into the modern day from a design and execution perspective.

Kiba Ranger is indeed more popular in the US because of MMPR nostalgia. In Dairanger Kou is an annoying little pervy douche So he isn't the most popular 6th ever. Just wish they'd finish putting out all the Dairangers already.

Don't forget that the Zyuranger keys got a fair amount of usage(I believe the full team was used twice) , and we even had Armoured Tyranno show up.

And every time they've used Zyu, it is either briefly or that time that the team got utterly pummelled, granted Dragon Ranger has been in it a LOT but his actor actually hasn't so it almost feels like it doesn't count. Unless he's like dead in real life or something, and then sorry.
