And since you're bashing Kabuto, I now feel free to bash my most hated Main Rider: Decade. He thinks he's deep because he has a camera and acts emo all the time. Plus, his only bit of plot (in a mostly non-canon movie) is that he's a villain that only turns good again because the other villains kicked him out. Not because he learned right from wrong and turned over a new leaf, but because he sucks at his job as a villain and had no choices left than be a hero.. He's nothing but a phony hero and a lame villain.

PS That is not directed at anybody as an attack. Just my thoughts on the character Decade from the worst Kamen Rider series I've ever seen.

PPS As much as I hate Decade, I would totally watch a show called Kamen Rider Lawyer Knights (Together we will object the fight!)

Okay, let's examine the source of those lines: Grandmother and Narutaki. Grandmother is someone Tendou has trusted most of his life and she has been telling him he is the ruler of all since he was a child. If that doesn't make him arrogant I don't know what will. Meanwhile Narutaki is a random guy that just trolls Decade by calling him names. There is no reason why anyone in the show should believe him.

So yeah, it's either the trusting person that raised Tendou giving him a superiority complex or random guy in raincoat Decade has never seen before calling him evil. Yep, Grandmother makes a better asshole.



Back on topic, watched 42-43 or 43-44 of Kuuga last night. Loving how it's not only about Kuuga. Ichijou gets the episode mostly to himself and Kuuga doesn't even fight in it! It's very much not the Heisei Kamen Rider I'm use to watching.

You can't make this comparison.
We never saw the grandmother, while we saw plenty of Narutaki
We don't know anything other than what she has told Tendou.

Narutaki is just a character who screams at Decade and, in a "Twist" turned out to be General Zol for no reason.

Also, Decade is a horrible character. Tendou is "Perfect." How does he prove this? By outshining others in areas of expertise, by fighting with style without taking much of a beating, and by always having a plan.
Tsukasa is "Perfect." How does he prove this? By relying on the world he's in to inexplicably give him an ability tailor made to that world (It's explained that all of his skills stem from the world he's in, not his own training), by fighting with other's powers and abilities (Though, to be fair, early episodes didn't have much form spam.), and by deus ex machina-ing when things start going south.

If I could just put my two cents in this argument, from what I've heard of Tsukasa in his series & what I've seen from the W/Decade Movie War, he's a total dick & sounds like a Mary Sue. But I'm not going to say that Tendou was a great character either. Now, I'll buy the whole "he's just perfect" explanation, but it just seems like he's more psychic than anything. Throughout the whole series he just seemed to know everything in the whole damn world & would never explain any of it to anyone else. My favourite example was at the end when he was destroying the necklaces (before he knew what they were doing) & his explanation for doing so was just "I don't like them". That's why Kagami is such a superior character, because he doesn't know everything & he does make mistakes & he only withholds information when he knows it will have a detrimental effect.

So, to me, there both assholes, but, Tendou can be charming at times. So, he wins, but again I'd like to point out I haven't seen much of Decade so I could be dead wrong about him, who knows?

Nah. Right on the nose with Tsukasa. He's an asshole for no reason (Surrounded by 3 friends who would, literally do anything for him, including one who's in love with him. What does he do? Brood and act like a total dick towards them), he's a "Genius" through no effort of his own (He just gains skills and knowledge from the world he's in), and he's pretty much a mary sue (Has to defeat all the Riders? Rather than show Decade defeating them though his own power, let's just make everyone's IQ drop 200 points so Decade can walk through them no problem to show how badass he is).

You know, it's weird. When I first got into KR (Where I had only seen 2 episodes of Kuuga, like 3 of Kabuto, and Hibiki's movie prior), I thought Decade was cool and his series was great. Having seen 7 series now, I can't stand Decade. :P

I'm on episode 32 of Ryuki and I have to say I'm still loving it. Although I was really confused by the abrupt change of tone in episode 29 and 30...It almost felt like the writers said "Man...all this death and fighting and what not is depressing...let's do something WACKY and funny for a couple of episodes!" It was really jarring and I didn't really care for it. I know Ryuki has had some humor in the past but it was sprinkled here and there, not all at once in a whole episode (or in this case, 2 episodes). Thankfully episode 31 returned back to form and reinforced how much of a monster Ouja is (although there was still a hint that he has some humanity...maybe...probably not...)
