Why do you keep saying 16 volumes? The manga is 12. Fourteen if you count the two special chapters of short side irrelevant stories.

It was very good. It was cheesy due to the limited budget, but the story was well written and the acting was not bad.

Um, where's your reading comprehension gone? I said it was good because PGSM ACKNOWLEDGED the fact. You even quoted it right there. Hell, Serenity was the villain because of her selfishness while in the manga everyone acted like it was totally justified.

Either way, despite a lot of filler, the anime had far more interesting and fleshed out villains, a far easier to follow plot, more interesting fight scenes (because the mangas were just... Awful) and a far more likeable cast of characters/ I've read the manga, seen all the anime and watched PGSM and I think the Anime and PGSM are just objectively better then the manga in nearly every single way.

It was written by Yasuko Kobayashi- the woman who brought us Shinkenger and OOO, so yeah, writing-wise, it's pretty damn awesome. I loved it back then and still do (I've seen it three times so far). Basically, it's they version of Sailor Moon that made me a fan of the franchise ^^
