I haven't played 5 or 6 so I can't really comment on them from a personal experience. 6 though is a contender though with all of the features it has.

Aww, that's unfortunate. You really should. Gen 5 wasn't anything special, but it was still a fun game (But seriously, don't believe all the bullshit with N).

I'd play 6 if I cared enough to get a 3DS. Outside of Pokemon the only game I want is that Project X Zone one. And one to three games isn't enough to warrant the purchase. Especially when the same amount of money to get the console and games could buy me an older one and more games for it.

You know when people complain about Capcom releasing a new Street Fighter with 5 new characters and calls it a new game?
That's how I feel towards Gen 3. It felt more like a dull roster update over anything else.

Yes, there were plenty of additions that changed the game at it's core, but it just didn't feel like they were actually changing much.
