You guys weren't kidding when you described this show to me, it really is basically a generic shounen action show only with a lick of girl paint. The "girliness" is so forced and overdone, I can only assume this was penned by the same kind of forty year old men, that probably have Precure cuddle pillows. I mean if I can tell it's horribly artificial it must be way worse for girls.

Overall the episode only really just began as it ended. Kinda like with Faiz, action just sorta bookended the episode with a huge fat bit in the middle of people just faffing about. And I know action isn't necessarily the most important part, but just like with Faiz the action is the most story driven part and the smallest part of the episode. I'll give it a few episodes so I can get a better handle on the feel of the show but I will admit this episode didn't do much for me.

Yeah... I'd hold out for Futari or Heart Catch if I were you.

I just feel that Heart Catch and Futari are just a lot more genuine than Hapiness Charge... It's not that it's bad, just the other two are better put together in my opinion.

BSS-Commie one. It was the one with the most amount of seeds on Nyaa. But then after the whole faff with Futari it looks like everyone calls each series something different so I might have missed a faster torrent. I'll google the group name rather than the show name and see if I get better results.

Gainax series from 2002. The two characters I'm referring to don't act like Yoko and Boota, but you only have to take one look at them to see that Gurren Lagann heavily took inspiration from their designs.
