HOLY SHIT SID.
This was a really great episode, it painted Kouta in an even better light. I may have wavered on him in the past but when I think about him over the course of the whole series, he probably is my favourite main Rider in the franchise. The real highlights though were around the Overlord's. I never much cared for them, if I'll be honest, but this episode really highlighted their individual strengths by playing them in contrast to one another. Highlight moment for me though was Demushu's rampage - especially for a show with usually such weak action - I loved the little touches to make it feel like it was happening in a real city with actual collateral. You don't normally get that in toku, all the action feels like it's in a bubble normally.

This was totally awesome, the death was okay in this, completely Mortal Kombat-like brutal here though. Roshuo is not to be messed with. Kouta and Kaito fighting together was awesome. Ryouma basically has the system from The Dark Knight which is very helpful for a Mad Scientist. Yoko needs to realize she is working for a nut case and betray him. I loved Kouta scene with Kaito close towards the end that was brilliant. I totally fucking loved Kaito and Zack's double henshin at the end, I hated that it ended there lol.
I can't wait for Baron, Knuckle, Bravo, Gridon, and Marika fighting together next week. That looks exciting. |

I hope that this helps any one who doesn't like Kiwami arms. Also the name Zenith is quite apt as not only does it mean high point but it is often used to describe some one at the hight of power, sadly it makes me want a Nadir arms for Ryugan. Last edited by jogproof; 05-26-2014 at 07:52 AM.. |

Because it means extremity as in the pinnacle/height of something. Same as Zenith.

It could be the literal translation for "Kiwami," and it'd still sound stupid. A word chosen for it's cool sound in one language doesn't automatically translate to another. Likewise a cool English word could very well result in a stupid Japanese word. That's why the languages are different. Hell, Aesir apparently didn't think the Rider names needed to be translated. They don't call Gaim "Armoured Warrior." Or Ryugen "Mystery Dragon." So why they bend over backwards and create confusion with Lockseed names, I don't get. It's just inconsistency. As much as I hate TV-Nihon's "leave half the show in japanese" at least they have some kind of pattern for leaving honourifics, proper nouns, and repeated phrases untranslated consistently. Aesir just seems like it's changing some of the names to be different. Last edited by SPLIT LIP; 05-26-2014 at 09:09 AM.. |

None of this really runs counter-point to the fact that the problem is that "Zenith" is just a really dumb name.
