Interview Questions for Robert Axelrod, voice of Lord Zedd

This is really exciting for us. Our very first interview will be with Robert Axelrod, the voice of Lord Zedd from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Please post your questions here and we will try to ask as many as we can. Keep in mind we don't have much time with him (10 minutes) so we can only pick the best questions from the group on top of our own.

We will release the interview in the next episode of Talkin Toku.

What were the biggest challenges you faced when going the voice for Zedd? What was the process used to determine what the voice would be?

I'm trying to word this right, but nothing's coming out like I want. Is he disappointed in how little Lord Zedd, an American only Villain, is being used/shown has part of the anniversary of MMPR? There we go.

How was it to do the voice of soft talking Finster, then powerful Lord Zedd?

Did any of the other voice actors and you just sit around and talk as your characters for fun?

What has been your most favorite part of your career so far?

All I got, probably wont think of more, but I thought Id give a few.

You have played so many diverse characters that have struck a chord with people from all walks of life, from Lord Zedd to Armadillomon and every character in between. What is it like to have played such a dynamic role in so many children's lives for generations?

When you saw that many parents felt your character to be "too scary"in the 90's what was your reaction? How exactly did production staff approach the transition of Lord Zed from terrifying overlord to more camp comedy?

God I miss Lord Zedd being scarey. That first episode, him turning on the throne with the python... Ah, nostalgia.

He answered this on his panel - he loved the role of the monster "Goo Fish". Aside from Lord Zedd and Finster, that was his favorite role.
