I had a disturbing thought while watching Samurai last night. For the second season it became Super Samurai, right? And we have confirmation that the second season of Megaforce will be Super Megaforce. .. Is Saban going to do this for every season now? Part of me really hopes not. It's somehow.. unimaginitive. For lack of a better word.

Yeah I'm a bit uneasy about that too(even thought I don't really follow Power Rangers). I think I'll be fine with it as long as they at least use a different show for when they become "Super".

From what I understand, Nickelodeon has an isane rule that limits shows to 20 new episodes a year (not including specials). 20 is not enough time to make a full PR season. Heck, 32 (Disney's most used episode numder) is rushing it.
So yeah, the Super thing is per contract with Nickelodeon. The contract ends the same year as Super Megaforce, so I hope Saban's Saturday block is doing well enough so Saban can do something about that. |

Hopefully this'll be a one time deal. Honestly, doing one Goseiger season and one Gokaiger season is just dumb. Saban needs to arrange something with Nick on how the Power Rangers' seasons are done because this is a poorly done decision.
But perhaps the Vortex block will do well and we'll get more fleshed out seasons. Nickelodeon is not the place to do a tokusatsu series. |

It's a better place than local TV, especially if it's ABC. The fact is Nickelodeon contributed to Samurai's marketing success. It sadly may be a necessity to keep PR going. I hope Vortex does well to (in fact, I hope weekday afternoon cartoons return at some point), but let's face it, cable has killed broadcast kids TV.

Although 4Kids did one thing right with the TMNT series they did, up until Back to the Sewers. ![]() I know better than to blindly trust a company, after the Capcom fiasco, but just once can we get a show that people like without it causing a shitstorm? Kids today deserve the quality we had growing up. We can't let ThunderCats 2011's death be in vain. |
