Isn't that true of ALL languages though? After all, that's one of the things Romanization has to contend with.
For example, this same: ![]() Is not the same same as same. And The Jungle Book, King of the Hill and a particular German pop group have made sure I'll always pronounce "Khan" correctly. ![]() It was amusing at first, but it's getting to be annoying, now. |

But no one gets as worked up about the romanized pronounciation of any other name word as they do for "Ra's al Ghul." Even then, most of the people who get annoyed about "Ra's al Ghul" being mispronounced can't pronounce it correctly themselves, as I have mentioned frequently before.
It was amusing at first, but it's getting to be annoying, now. Actually, now that I think about it, you're right and I probably also don't pronounce "Khan" correctly and I'm sorry (is it just the vowel sound people mispronounce or the accenting H as well?). I also have no clue which syllable of your first name gets the enunciation, first or second. For that matter, how the heck is Indo-European a language classification? Also what does "Talia" mean? And are these guys pronouncing "Khan" correctly? |

I usually pronounce to somewhere between "raj" and "raysh."

"Talia" translates out to dew from God, apparently. |

And you're actually kinda right. Apparently in the 16th century, missionaries to India noticed similarities between Sanskrit and Italian and the Ottoman Turk Evliya Çelebi noticed similarities between Farsi and German when he went to Vienna for a diplomatic meeting. But that's still confusing since Hungarian, the languages of the Caucasus region and Turkish aren't part of that language group. So Talia al Ghul would mean "Dew from God of the Demon?" What? |

How does DC expect to do 11 movies when they cannot even spend the time to develop their own characters in a single movie?
If they are serious about wanting to get on the movie train, they need to do one more stand alone Superman movie, a stand alone Wonder Woman movie, a stand alone Green Lantern movie, use the Flash and Green Arrow from the TV series, and have people that actually know how to write these characters write the movies. Hell, hire Bruce Timm to write the live action movies!!! |

Hell, hire Bruce Timm to write the live action movies!!! I certainly agree that the characters deserve stand alone movies. Green Arrow and Flash from the shows won't be used because WB is keeping the TV and Movie Universes separate. Having Bruce Timm write a Batman movie might not be a bad idea persay, but I consider him more of a animator than writer. Paul Dini wouldn't be a bad choice, but I still wouldn't have all the films written by one person. I would want Gail Simone or Greg Rukka for Wonder Woman for example. Green Lantern would probably be the most complicated character to do because, well, Hal is pretty damn boring. He's most interesting when he's paired with Ollie, but trying to do origins for both might be too much. Granted, they don't have to use Hal but it might be hard to use anyone else without bringing him into the equation. Then again JL got away with it just fine. |

The Flash suit looks like crap to be honest. But the show doesn't look half bad.
And why the sudden distrust with DC? Are the approaching the Man of Steel sequel the wrong way? Yeah. But you all act like Zach Synder, so was mainly responsible for Man of Steel, is gonna direct all of these movies. |

The fact is Zach Snyder was originally joking bout adding batman in the in the next film with him. WB took that joke seriously told them to add batman and now MOS 2 as a lead up to JL as BvS and we getting another MOS film after wards.

Most of the distrust from DC comes from the lower quality of some comics from the New 52, in addition to various comments and decisions made by editorial staff. For instance, in the entirety of the DC universe, only one superhero is married, and even then, he is currently physically separated from his wife. The reason? Quote:
