The actual numbering scheme that Toei devised previously went:

Decade - 1 card to henshin
W - 2 memories to hensin
OOO - 3 medals to henshin
Fourze - 4 switches to henshin

Those were real things. But that type of numbering would have been ludicrously silly with 5 items at a time or more. Both the riders names and gimmicks reflected this trend from W-Fourze, while Decade is more of a stretch. ANYTHING beyond Fourze is mere speculation and needless fan theory. The proper numbering convention was dropped after Fourze, again, becuase of the lunacy of needing 4 or more items to henshin.

So the whole Wizard has 5 fingers, Lock can be mispronounced as roku/6, or Drive has 7 tires on his body, are all frankly people just drawing connections that don't exist.

I don't think that's "connections that don't exist", I think they're very blatant connections. What are the odds that Wizard would have five fingers, and that the "W" in Wizard is often pronounced or spelled (I can't remember) as "V" which is 5.

What are the odds that Gaim would use "lock seeds", that if mispronounced (which is apparently a very common thing) would end up being the word for "six"?

And now Drive has 7 tires?

Except that in no instance ever during the course of Wizards run was that W pronounced as a V at all nor was the word spelled that way, and in most instances his name "wizard" was never even uttered. Only in cross over movies was the word wizard even used and it was pronunced properly. In show the Japanese term "mahoutskai" rather than the proper name Wizard was used, even by wizard himself. Characters did not actually call him Wizard outside of crossovers. Just like Gaim isn't called a Kamen Rider unless he's in a team-up film.

People are speculating 7 tires based on one blurry image of the Drive suit. There isn't even confirmation that's a thing. Again, the gimmick was henshin devices, not minor suit details. Wizard Gaim & Drive do not use a number of items to become riders. Saying that it's a clear continuation because Gaim wears a lock that if you say the word incorrectly means 6, to me, is silly.

Yes, but in Wiccan belief, there are five elements, with the fifth being spirit. Infinity is easily the representation of spirit as the power was forged from Haruto's own soul. Hence why they have the pentagram. Each point of the star is a representation of each element.

I'd say the odds of that are pretty good considering that's the default number of fingers people have.

But no, Den-O is right. The number thing referred specifically to the number of power activation items used to transform: 1 card, 2 Gaia Memories, 3 Core Medals, 4 Astro Switches. The pattern died the minute Haruto didn't start wearing five rings on one hand and stayed dead when Kouta didn't have to activate six Lock Seeds at once. From all I've seen of the belt, there's no space to fit seven toy cars into it so Drive is continuing to not use the number pattern. Any claim otherwise is just trying to force a connection to something that the show isn't doing anymore.

Kamen Rider is an ongoing franchise. While Toei is ultimately in charge of the show and Bandai is in charge of the toys, those are just companies. There are individuals in charge of each new series and they aren't always the same people year to year. Sometimes new people come in and start doing something new with the show, sometimes new people come in and put an end to something that the show had been doing. The number pattern was a thing the show did for awhile but now it's over and buried in the past along with Foundation X and (hopefully) the two-episode arc structure.

At this point I think it's just really pushing it, I could slightly understand the finger thing more but this is just way out of it now.

I also don't really understand why the number thing has to be... well a "thing" now, I just thought it was a neat thing they did up until Fourze... and now everyone is shoving down peoples throat a numerous of theory's as to why Wizard has 5... or Gaim is 6 because the Lockseed looks like a 6..? Seriously..? because it looks like a 6... Well then.... And now we have Drive because.... We have to have 7?
