I get that it's supposedly unfinished, but the fact that EVERYTHING in it is CGI makes me doubtful.

When you think about it, Deadpool would be difficult to do in live action, so a CGI version would make more sense.

I think I heard they did it in CGI just to get a feel for Reynold's delivery.

There's no sense spending time, trouble and money on a car, stunts, several actors, the film itself, costumes, props, and reshoots, for something that is just a test and might not even get made into a full picture. So they get only one or two actors, do some quick motion capture, maybe get some dialog to help set a tone, render several mute generic humans that all have the same appearance, some other 3D models which they probably already have. All on a computer, all very cheap.
