Yeah I forgot about Sentai usually celebrating the anniversary by series and not actual years. my mind was more with Kamen Rider when I wrote that since with Rider they actually celebrate 45 years of Kamen Rider soon.

How would you build a sentai without a gimmick?
I'm not saying it's impossible, but a strike team to fight evil just seems like a played out concept for heroes in general, not just sentai.

So long as gimmicks drive the toylines and sell really really well they wont go away anytime soon.
