Very true. There was definitely an intention to try and get them an international release, and I forget the timing of this so I can't be sure, but I don't think Takara Tomy's deal of holding the rights to international merchandising were in place when the poll was created.

But I'm fairly certain Charizard is a coincidence. Once Mewtwo was announced, the Kanto starters were a given.

BlueFin's polls and statements barely ever are worth taking seriously. "No more Sentai coming", Akarenger is announced like two weeks later. "Want Blue-Eyes White Dragon?". Yu-Gi-Oh! is immediately deconfirmed and Max Factory gets it. "Lord Zedd ZERO is definitely a possibility!" It's totally not. "Which Power Rangers next?", the only two Power Rangers related thing since is Sentai exclusive characters. Etc, etc.

There's been more than one. Ignoring the laughable win of Shadow of the Colossus, this one accomplished something. Most of the top ten monsters listed have gotten released in some form, though I'm sure the majority were no-brainers or were already in the works (Des, Mosu-Goji, I'm looking at you).

Nah, I don't think coincidence is the right word. Inconsequential, I suppose. The poll that included Charizard, which was entirely undone SHMA properties at the time, also included a couple Universal monsters, which were known from interviews beforehand as figures that the sculptors already had in mind to do but were not yet realized and, obviously, not up for public view. Charizard was perhaps another character already being considered and maybe even prototyped before the poll, more a formality to gauge international interest should licensing allow it.

I guess a lot of questions that they put in the polls are something Bluefin considers and nothing works out behind the scenes. I remember Bluefin post a reply on Facebook a while back saying that they wanted to do Yu-Gi-Oh MonsterArts but license issues got in the way. If I had to guess then it would likely due to Konami owning the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise.

As for Lord Zedd Zero, I guess it's because he's a American exclusive villain and Tamashii Nations in Japan probably doesn't want to make something that will be made exclusive retail in America only.

Nothing wrong with that, but this disscussion just seems to get brought up quite often. Might I suggest making a seperate thread for that?

Yeah, I'm still missing Omnimon too. Hope to get him before he goes up.

As for what I'd like to see, I'm still waiting for my Gallantmon Crimson Mode. And....just throwing this out there.....Tekken's Roger & Mokoujin. There, I said it.

A quick word on my Sailor Saturn: nice figure, but still surprised at how dainty she is. And the gripping hands are too loose for my tastes. Then again, I've been spoiled by the Sentai side of things.
