Honestly, screen caps do nothing for me because they are just still shots of a frame. How often does it happen and how long? Is it only in 1-2 frames? If so, it is probably not even that noticeable. I'll check out my BD later on this week to see.

Had the Sailor Moon Blu Rays been available to me here in Australia I'd have bought them even with the problems. But when I have to import the Blu Rays, thereby paying about $70-80 per 23 episodes, having two screenshots, one of an old DVD and one of a "Re-Mastered" Blu Ray side by side and thinking the DVD looks heaps better becomes a much bigger deal.

My biggest sadness though is that these reviews came out after I bought a region-free Blu-Ray player and a bunch of US Blu-Rays. I had mostly bought it just to watch Sailor Moon...

Well Toei did release the show on DVD in 2009 on DVD and I just google searches 2009 japanese sailor moon DVDs and poped up With nice look case

Actually, the german DVDs have the original 90s TV master for the german dub and the Japanese DVD master for the japanese dub. And honestly, the Japanese master is still the best out there.
I've also noticed the stranger look of the viz master when the first preview clips were posted and I don't really get why they'd think it looked good. It seemed rather blurry movement-wise and the colors are kinda hard to look at.
Honestly, I don't care that much for the old anime, but I'd prefer our 90s TV master over that.

But at least you get a new, improved dub, so viz has done at least one thing right.

Agree with that problem they saying the master they where given from toei are the recent masters from 2009 set like you said that both differance.

Got excited when someone said that they cut Serenity's suicide in Crystal.

Realized they were talking about the Original Anime and not Crystal...

Why? The suicide is what defined her character back then. Her lover died, she kills herself ala Romeo and Juliet.

I am loving what Crystal is doing with Kunzite and gang though.

Hey, good news. Viz Media has released several more sneak peek clips of their dub of Sailor Moon on their YouTube account which includes the new voices for Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus. Also, they announced that the release date for Season One Part Two will be at February 10th, 2015 and the pre-orders for it are already up.
