Here's the promo I saw after The Wrath.

Notice how they speed shot past everyone else. Why even bother inviting them to NZ at all?

Keep in mind though, that this advertisement isn't the idea of Saban, it is that of the network, and they are idealing trying to get higher ratings by promoting a return-cast actor, who is a fan favorite.

It's the dreaded curse of nostalgia. It's hurt Transformers, it did a number on Ben 10 and of course Power Rangers will and may seem like it will always suffer at nostalgia. Not everyone likes the Original Green Ranger and having fan favorites passed over just to hype him up is only going to hurt this brand more and more as time goes on.

He may not be your favorite, but Mr.Frank is a staple of the Power Rangers community.

Trust me, I'm not a fan of the guy either. However, back in the MMPR days he is what got MMPR off it's feet and onto a brand-new chapter, and made people really-really get into it.

That and he has been doing his damnd'ist at cons and on Facebook to keep the Ranger Spirit alive.

He is somewhat the unofficial mascot of Power Rangers. For always and forever.
