Looks like Paul Kaye will be in series 9. I'm not sure about the Prentis/Magician's Apprentice speculation, though, since episode one isn't filming right now. It's reportedly three and four. Last edited by Thessair; 01-07-2015 at 10:41 AM.. |

Which season would you guys recommend a Dr.Who newbie like me? I watched a few eps of the Matt Smith run but would like to hear from you guys regarding where to start.

I'd suggest either Rose, which is the first episode of the 'reboot' of the series, or some of Tennant's best. Like Tooth and Claw, School Reunion, Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead. Then the Eccelson episode Dalek is still one of my favorites.

Rose is a good place to start. Starting with classic Who might be a shock to the system. I think most of the post-2005 episodes are still on Netflix.

Probably Rose. While you could feasibly start from The Eleventh Hour and go backwards, some stuff would start being confusing after a while, especially once you get to the 50th

my Netflix list says Doctor Who is being removed on February 4th. That really sucks; I love this series but can't afford DVDs for all the good stuff. |

No; usually that just means the rights are running out. They're also losing Dilbert & Transformers Prime at teh start of February. |
