Ahead of your time? Lol. It was exciting for me but...looking back, I don't think I would've bought all the toys I bought. Also..didn't dawn on me until years later that Power Rangers was a genre called sentai...and the Voltron comparison is legit...5 team members, primary color costumes, robits, big ass combined robot...

Hell even the same company made the toys(Bandai).
