Besides Digimon, there's a bit of Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad in the whole digital factor (sorry I haven't watched Gridman so I can't comment). A digital environment would offer a ton of imaginative possibilities, as Digimon has demonstrated.

I do like the idea of virtual reality dinosaurs. Hopefully it'll lead to Zoids-esque mecha which would make a nice contrast to the ones in Zyu and Aba.

Didn't think of that, that's a great idea! It would be a great opportunity for Toei to reintroduce Gridman.

yea it will due to grid man ant lass as an ultraman due to the fact kamen rider all ready did a cross with a ultraman so with this sentai season cross over with gridman would be epic

Gridman isn't owned by Toei though unfortunately. Its a Tsuburaya property, so that might slim chances a bit.
