This week’s episode, Under the Lake, was dark and gritty, but the cliff-hanger made me cry! (T~T)

Was a good episode. Felt like one that I'd seen a dozen times before but it had a really good atmosphere about it.

Happy to see this season is going to be mostly two-parters. More development which will hopefully mean better stories.

It's a classic "base under siege" story. That's possibly my favorite Doctor Who story type, so I quite enjoyed this one. I like the look of next week, too, with half the characters now in the past and half in the "present."

Also, Clara's cue cards for the Doctor were hilarious.

The episode was alright. I'm religiously against two-parters though. In KR, MMPR, or DW. If you're going to do that go back to the two hour episode format of Baker and everyone instead of making me wait a damned week.

Not sure what you mean by "everyone else". Most classic Doctor Who episodes were about 30 minutes long, only some of Colin Baker's were longer and even then they were the same length as the episodes are now.
