I wonder why they are making Figuarts of the UltraMen, I mean is it just easier or do they want to make more money because Figuarts aren't Ultra-Act?

I had always thought (and remember discussing this with Baltan II at some point) that the reason for the split between Ultra-Act and SH Figuarts was that the UAs were scaled to work with the vinyl Ultra Monsters. Given that Bandai has moved away from that scale for the vinyl line (going to the 500/Spark Doll size which is smaller), there is no reason to make these figures scale with those earlier monsters. And in the manga (at least as of volume 1), our hero is not giant sized, but human sized.

Oh. Why? Huh. Hmm. I'll buy it... but doing them all over again in a smaller scale after increasing size with the 2.0s?? If they do Kaiju again finally.. would rather have A or B style Ultraman, or Powered.

The more I look at that SHF Ultraman prototype, the more the more the head starts looking... off. It might just be the eyes or something, but...

I have Ultraman, Ultraseven, Jack, Ace, Taro, and Leo as Ultra-Act, and no intention of rebuying them in SHF form. For the guys whom I do not have such as 80, I suppose I could buy them as SHF, but I would be alright getting them in vinyl as well, frankly. The dioramas with the Ultra Kaiju are neat, but doesn't work with my display space. I liked that the Ultra-Act scaled with the vinyl monsters -- if the SHFs scaled with the Ultra 500/Spark Doll size, then maybe, but that is not the case.
