Thank you. Kill the Moon was a good episode, and I really don't see how it was a cop-out ending at all. He knew, in the end, Clara would make the right choice. And he knew, like he said in the show, eggs don't destroy their nest.
How is this any more of a cop-out then that forest episode? Anyway, in less Capaldi-y related news:http://www.bigfinish.com/news/v/doct...tor-adventures 10th Doctor Big Finish things! With Donna! ![]() |

Big Finish just keep going from strength to strength. Hopefully this means we can get some multi-Doctor crossovers with Tennant one day.

Holy crap that was an INCREDIBLE episode this week, hands down the best of the season so far. Not just a good old fashioned "UNIT and an invasion" story, but one really kept the suspense going all the way through.
Everyone will know in this thread that I'm no far of Osgood, but she was used PERFECTLY. I could have lived without the bit talking about her clothing, but the rest was fantastic. I had a feeling they weren't going to address which was human and which was Zygon. That cliffhanger too. I did wonder if Clara had been switched but that reveal was just brilliant. Really really excited for part two.

I suspect we've seen the last of Sentai, who will presumably drown in his own glee during the opening of this episode. Good night, sweet prince, and flights of Gosei Angels sing thee to thy rest...
![]() ![]() I'm not sure about this episode. I didn't dislike it, but of all the first-part episodes this season it felt by far the most first-partiest. All of the others, even The Magician's Nephew, worked much better as full episodes. This one was mostly just a whole lot of set up for part two. I think it had at least one too many "oh my god, you moron, that is obviously a Zygon, get your head out of your ass!" moments, too. That said, it wasn't a bad episode and had some really good moments. I think the Clara reveal was well done. It wasn't super obvious, but there were enough clues to be suspicious. Actually, the episode definitely did a good job of making you second-guess every damn character in it who wasn't the Doctor. That was pretty cool. But yeah, I really want to see the next episode before I fully judge this two-parter. |

Moffat must be an anagram for Satan.
It was the best episode of the season, which for once BBC America didn't spoil with adverts before hand which is a refreshing change. Every week they give away the plot with their ads for the show (Also getting tired of them showing Star Trek TNG, Man vs Wild, and American Kitchen Nightmares instead of British programming. PBS shows more British programming than BBC America. But that's another thread). The cliffhanger makes me hate this two-parter heavy season even more. Seemed like kind of a political statement to, or maybe I'm reading to much into it because of how much I watch the news. But that's a theory for Twitter because I don't want to bring that discussion on the forum. This is though the first Doctor Who episode in a very long time where it actually felt like the world was in danger. But Moffat, Mr. Satan. hurt Osgood again and you're rising very high on my eternal shit list. |

Yeah, while we won't go into any further I will say that this episode was drowning in social commentary. Which isn't surprising as Kill the Moon was as well. Must just be the writer's thing.

Part of me hopes Clara really is dead though. I'm still not over her ruining the most perfect farewell her character will have last Christmas. |

Another really good ending to a two-parter. Capaldi and Coleman were both fantastic - Coleman's turn as Bonnie was especially effective. Really loved the climax with the Doctor desperately trying to get both sides to calm down. This season is honestly turning out to be one of the best ones yet, possibly even better than season 5, which is not something I'd say lightly.
Also: "Five rounds rapid." ![]() |

Did anyone notice that when the Doctor was giving the speech, Capaldi shifted into an American accent a little
⌠at least, that's how his accent sounded to my ears⌡? I agree with Switchblade; I'm reallii liking series nine.
