He still looked more human than the Aquitar rangers though.

I am also surprised that alien rangers weren't explored in SPD. They all had powers and the world was full of aliens; it just seemed to make sense. Oh well.

I think it doesn't matter. So long as the characters are good that should be the only issue. Hell, Dino Charge stuck with having one girl in the core five and its not an issue. Not everything has to be about ratios. No need to treat characters like numbers and not characters.

Is BoA going to ever release a deluxe Ptera Morpher? I know there was that cheap, unpainted, tiny one in the Gold Ranger training set, but there isn't a deluxe version that actually works.

No. There will be a cheap slightly better painted one with minimal sounds released next year most likely.

Would expect any different? The thing isn't the main electronic gimmick toy for the series so it's not going to be very special.

I don't even think the Japanese version was as sound loaded as the Gaburevolver.
