What are your opinions, whether you agree or not about AbareKiller being a 6th Sentai Ranger?

he's "6th ranger" in a sense that he's an addition to the core 4 as a trope he's a 6th ranger indeed.

But we can also argue that in gekiranger, gekiviolet and geki chopper is the "6th ranger" as both of them comes later on in the series unlike asuka who's there in since the first episode but only gains his ranger power a bit later on.

This is why they should get rid of the name sixth ranger. It should be called something else. In cases like AbareKiller, GekiViolet, and GekiChopper you just don't know what to call them.

I just go by who ever was on gold mode silver chest is "6th" ranger of said season. I don't remember seeing violet or chopper on there

He is the "sixth ranger" of Abaranger, but Toei does not actually consider him to be a sixth ranger.

I was thinking exact same thing say toei does not class him as sixth mean toei would not put him on gokai silver gold mode chest that toei do count him as a sixth it's violet and chopper they don't class as sixth.

It's not just him being on the chest, it's the fact he also was the one that gave Gai the Cellular.

Geki Violet and Chopper aren't part of the shingitai triangle, and they were added to the team in the mid to late 20s, so they both count as "sixths". Hell, story wise, Ken was supposed to be the fourth to join the team, Gou was just a happy coincidence. For all intents and purposes, they both fulfill that niche. Toei just seems like they count all 5 as the main team because... I dunno?

This whole issue can be explained away with one simple over looked inclusion. In Abarenger they had an unofficial fifth ranger in the form of Abara Pink that was never included in the adaptation of Dino Thunder who showed up way before Killer as a comic relief character. With Pink that brings the total Abarengers (which is taken into account in Gokaiger) to six. The reason why Chopper is widely counted as five instead of six is the simple fact that Gekiranger only ever had five members and not the unofficial extra that Abarenger did.
