I think I have that exact Hess truck up in my attic somewhere. Ah, the memories. Oh yeah and the Guntank's nice too. I like the little smoke effect cotton swabs.

You're the second person to notice the Hess truck. That is my brothers, and the cotton swabs were just a kindbof "for fun". Thing.

				 | Quote: I think it makes him a boring, flat and one dimensional character much like Heero Yuy as opposed to more interesting and complex characters like Amuro,Kamile,Shinn*before his character derailment* and even Setsuna*before the movie anyway* My gain I would think. It makes them feel less like characters in their own right however. I would personally consider a boring protagonist a major flaw myself but that's me. It also makes IBO*in it's current state anyway* unwatchable to me as unlike Wing IBO has no other main characters who act as foils to Mika's coldness and ruthlessness. PS: I'm not insulting anyone for liking IBO I get why people like it. It's the "mature and serious" Gundam show that people have been asking for since AGE ended. I get it, it just isn't a show for me.

Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket I finished this earlier today and I must say, I very much enjoyed it. With it being more realistic it immediately gets my interest, since that is what I prefer when Gundam shows focus on wars. What drives it home is how much it focuses on informing Alfred and the viewer just how bad war can be, regardless of the side. Having the main character be a kid helped since well, as kids we just never thought about it that much. We just knew wanted to see fights and wins, we never thought about the downside to it. This, coupled with Al's lack of knowledge and willingness to do what he does blindly just makes it work. Plus with the show's first half being very slow and warm and then turning into chaos in episode four, it really drives home how messed up those situations can be and the reality of what it means to be a soldiers sometimes. Plus it being centered mostly on Zeon gives it a nice bit of originality, to me at least. The animation date shows, but it is still pretty good, with the mech designs being pretty good as well, with the Kampfer pretty much stealing the show. For me though, the music is one of the best parts besides the story. Just 80s epic gloriousness. Overall, I found WITP to be a very good little series. On a critiquing basis I thought it hit it pretty darn well and on a personal basis it's nice to have another Gundam product that I actually like since most of the franchise bores the shit out of me. I'd watch this again any day.

Here's the Thunderbolt trailer: Good stuff. Love the little details like the little robo arm moving the floating car. |

				 | Huh, most people assumed it was for an OVA, but actually it's hard to tell the size, you might be onto something. |

It looks to be the same size as the kits in the case next to it, so it's probably whatever grade those are. I can't make any of them out though, so that doesn't really help.
