Ryo does use, or is advertised with, a V-mon in that game. It's a video game, so I'm not sure if you can choose your partner Digimon or if you just use the V-mon, but yes, he uses one. It' still Ryo, and the Ryo from Tamers, though. Ryo doesn't actually get Monodramon until later. Though from what I read the Ryo games played fast and loose with canon a bit, that's still what they were going for.

Adventure had to be fictional in the Tamers universe regardless, since Digimon isn't accepted worldwide as being real beings.
Christ, nothing acknowledges that the last 10 episodes of 02 happened. Does that mean I don't have to watch those episodes when I rewatch 02?

Y'all keep bringing up the games. I've never played the games. I'm strictly talking about the anime(s) and manga.

It doesn't have to be anything, really, it's just a largely unrelated alternate universe. Adventure just isn't a thing the Tamers universe has to be aware of in any form.

No one did, on this side of the globe anyway. The series of game starring Ryo never made it to the states. In the anime series he's not elaborated on a lot, but that's mostly because Japan had those games to fill in the blanks. His inclusion in 02 and Tamers was basically just cross-promotion.

Yep!! Myotismon's attack on Tokyo is what brought Davis and Cody into the picture. And the fight between Omnimon/Omegamon and Diaboromon is what brought Yolei into it. And since that fight was shown worldwide it's no wonder why other children were chosen. Also, during Myotismon's attack on Tokyo, Digimon were attacking worldwide as well, that's there Michael came in as well with Betamon. So that situation as well brought a lot of other kids into the picture that we don't know about. Does anyone else see this loophole? They can bring in as many children as they want without any reason because of the events that Davis, Cody, Yolei, and Michael described.
