Crossbone Gundam is getting a "big announcement" in next month's issue of Gundam Ace. Wondering if it might be a new series of some kind or an anime adaptation? But Sunrose kind of has their hands full currently, so I imagine of an anime were annoinced it would be at least a year off.

IBO Episode 25

This is it guys, and wow, what a great episode. Not as intense as the last episode, but damn we got some nice setup.

Man, McGillis is not the nice guy I thought he was. Betraying his friends and exposing his dad just to reform Gjallerhorn, a now much weaker organization.

Man, Ein just ended up being a pushover and not a real threat after Mika unlocks his new superpower and straight wrecks Graze Ein. And everyone we thought died is actually still alive. Although, Ein's constant monolouging was annoying.

Mikazuki's new power of being able to control the Barbatos much faster comes at an interesting cost. The use of his left arm. And also his left eye being stuck in that dead stare Mika does. Ugh, he doesn't even need SEED mode to have a dead stare.


And it's confirmed we have a second season of IBO coming! Makes a lot of the stuff left open in this episode feel more relieving to get developed on. Can't wait to see what McGillis does in season 2. The finale, to me, reminds me of the 00 finale, in the sense that none of the main characters died. But it's also kind of the opposite, as the individual blocks are strengthening their own militaries as compared to 000, where they just all combine. And the teasing is a lot more subtle in IBO. 00 straight up showed us the Innovades and Graham in a mask at the end of 25.

Is there any chance G Gundam will get a blu-ray release here in the US or is there no HD release in Japan yet?

No BD has been released in Japan yet and from what Rightstuf has said Sunrise won't be doing one until next year. As such, it will be 2019 before G can have a BD release in the US.

Daisuki put up a trailer announcing subs for Re:0096. Interestingly, this triler has English voices, making me wonder if we'll get the show on Blu-ray with an English dub. Also, there's new footage with the Neo Zeong and Khashatriya.

What did you guys think of Gundam IBO? I loved the hell out of it.

It's a good show, but it does have its problems. Animation is subpar sometimes, there's not enough fights, the story kinda drags in spots. But IBO does certain things very well in spite of that though. From the tacticality of the battles, to the focus on characters.

From what I understand per Rightstuf, the series will be streamed on Crunchyroll both subbed and dubbed as they only had to dub the new scenes, so the dub is essentially the same.

Since I haven't seen anything past volume 4, I figure I might as well just go for the TV version as this point as it is most likely going to be superior given it will have more breathing room as there will be like 4 more episodes worth of development.

I think the extra 4-5 episodes will defintley make enough of a difference to the plot, but I doubt the show with add a ton of new stuff. People are expecting stuff like Full Frontal's creator, Sinanju hijacking flashback, extended Neo Zeong fight, epilogue, a stop by Lagrange 1 to better fit the novels' original route. I don't know if they could properly add extended stuff plus new subplots.

Yeah I agree with both it's faults and it's shiny spots. I liked that they had to deal with realistic issues like how they were going to stay funded and other things like that. Also the character focus was amazing. I personally loved how they gave motivations for most of Gjallarhorn and that you could feel what they were fighting for.
