You know what I wish Bandai would do? Take a page from the SIC KTs and release scaled down versions of their Figuarts. I think that would be a better way to get Sentai figures out there in general. It seems only the Reds sell well but I can understand why. Waiting a year or more for an entire Figuarts team to trickle out, at $50 per is a bit frustrating. The KTs come out super slowly but there's no reason why that has to be the case with Sentai figures that mostly use the same mold.
I realize those Motion Revive figures exist btw. I have Momotaros. They're cool but not as good as Bandai could do in a real collector line. |

New Tamashii Web Exclusive releases!
Magnugiga is a bit fidly, and scary to disassemble. The joints which hold the legs to the torso and torso to chest plate require a pretty good amount of force to pop on and off. That being said he is large and in chrage. Very impressive looking. The weapons that you can make from his body are significantly larger than the ones that come with Zolda himself. ![]() Libra is, nice? I was surprised to see that the chains hanging down his chest and the rings on either end of the staff ARE actually made of metal! He has some decent balance issues though. His heels are nearly non-existent and the giant back plate is rather heavy and it keeps him from moving his hips very much. Overall he's nice but putting his Horoscope jacket thing on turns him into a complete brick. ![]()

Wow, I wouldn't have expected them to use metal chains for Libra either. That's pretty neat.
Thanks for the quick reviews. I can't see me ever picking up Magnugiga but Libra is definitely one I could see me getting one day.

Libra was never my favorite Zodiart. Especailly after he turned into a complete wusspile towards the end of the series. And after hearing that? I already wasn't getting him, now I'm locking my doors to make sure he never enters my home.

Did you expect anything less from putting on the coat? I expected them to be bricks with those on.

Oh no I really didn't expect much it's just that Libra has really bad balance anyway because of the poor heel design. Add on top of the the coat and he can barely stand at all without a Tamashii stage. But then there's not really anywhere for the stage to grab him with the coat on. So he suffers quite a bit from it not being made of some kind of soft plastic. It forces his legs into a straight position with no room to splay out at all. And the chain underneath there can get VERY easily stuck in his hip and knee joints just from putting the coat on. The Horoscope figures look nice but they definitely could've found better ways to execute them.

Bit of a strange question, but has anyone else noticed something different on the newer Figuarts hands? I've never once had a problem taking hands on and off the figures before but with both Bouken Red and (to an even worse extent) Red Buster the hands just don't want to stay on. Its even worse trying to change Red Buster's left hand for fears that the Morphin Brace might suddenly snap off. The additional Akiba girl hands that came with Bouken Red even managed to pull the joint apart when I took it out.
Has anyone else noticed this or have I simply been unlucky twice in a row?

I haven't with that, but my AkibaRed scarf falls off if you breath on it and it is driving me crazy. I cannot do anything with him without it falling off.
