Not really a big fan. I don't hate them, but I don't like them. I wish that the "gloves" and "boots" were white/silver to break up all that color, and they need belts because the buckle at this point looks just like a weird navel piercing. At least the colors aren't muted for a "dark and gritty" look.

This right here is why I think this movie is going to bomb. Power Rangers' target audience of 7 year olds and the existing fanbase is about all they've got. I highly doubt this movie is going to rake in the MCU/DCEU crowd.

I really don't like the design work going into the movie right now. The suits are so generic "mature sci-fi" it hurts. They look like every edgy teenager's drawing of a gritty reboot of Power Rangers that I've ever seen. I can't say I'm not curious to see the Megazord, but my hopes for it being any good have kind of been dashed after these last few reveals.

This ^^ I agree with all of what you said. I don't like them they look like a fusion between Ironman and aliens. I lost a lot of hope for this movie after seeing this.

It makes sense.
Red ranger is gonna become Zedd, much like how Rita is basically a proto-Green ranger, and the sequel will introduce Rocky to replace our former Red Ranger!

The Power Rangers use martial arts to fight their enemies. It makes sense for them to wear spandex, so they can be ultra flexible as well. That, and they have superhuman powers also.

Well, they're better than they could be, but yeah not too big a fan of them right now, but I'm going to save final judgement until I see them in action. Still they could definitely do with better helmet designs... And belts... And boots. :I

They might as well put obvious ninja motifs in now if they are just frontloading all of thier hints at sequels.
