No gyms sounds false. After twenty years doing it, it would be strange to be such a departure in a main game. Something like Ranger/XD, I'd understand. But not in a main series game.;

Went on an early morning jog and finally caught something new! A Ponyta! and also found an Egg!

Thanks to a lucky catch last night, got something kinda strong finally - found a wild Wigglytuff haha! At least I can finally start taking on gyms.

Stardust seems rather hard to get though and you use so much of it... So training anything else is going to take a good long while..

It's sad that there are people abusing Go to rob people.

That is why I don't go out at 2 AM walking/driving playing this game.

Today, I was ever so briefly a gym leader. It was a most satisfying feeling.

(Until my own team soundly beat my ass in minutes - from somewhere, must have been in the building - and replaced me. But those few minutes where I was lucky enough to walk up right as team yellow coincidentally beat team red unbeknownst to me so I could sneak myself in to the gym were glorious.)

Oh and I tried training against myself for fun with my second-strongest Pokemon for the first time aaand... I don't understand how battling works. Help please? AI-run Pokemon just got hit after hit after hit before I tapped a few times and got a few negligible punches in.

Finally, can you only heal with potions?
