I wondered when this repaint would show up

It looks great, but I already own Kabuto so I'm not feeling like paying the slightly higher price for a repaint.

I'm happy for those who looked forward to this though.

The color scheme makes me a little wistful for what could've been.

Also, I think this supports my guess about how Bandai is prioritizing Shinkocchou Seihou releases: frequent easy repaints/reworks of existing molds to support the (probably costly) entirely new molds.

While I don't disagree with that assessment, I don't think this release is necessarily any proper indication of that. Tamashii Nations exclusives are always just repaints/retools so something like this was a given. I'm just surprised they went with Dark Kabuto rather than something from Ghost since the last couple have been from current shows.

Literally just secured a SS regular flavor Kabuto.

Going with a Kabuto figure over a Ghost is a wise move as far as I'm concerned. SHFA Ghost figures just continue to drop in price. Be in the bargain bin with Wizard, Fourze, and OOO figures soon enough.

If that means I can get a Necrom for bargain bin prices then I am a-ok with that.
